The eligibility criteria are spelled out in Article II. Barack Obama is eligible to be President for the remainder of his life. He just no longer can be elected President.

sometimes you have to read all the way to the end

It's almost like amendments change/update things that came before them
05-15-2016 , 09:17 AM
Lol there is no way that is Jeb. The idea he somehow got into a fight, and is winning, runs contrary to everything we know of him.

Somewhere in Maine, Jeb! Remains perplexed. Willie Horton and Lee Atwater worked! How is Donald winning by giving away the con!

Frum's fictional respective on Trump's path to the presidency is not a bad read. http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/...idency/482796/

It was a fun read, although, in my opinion, just not the way Trump would win. The author was implying Trump won by winning NV and CO. Just not the way I see a narrow Trump win. I think you'd have to flip Latino men and African American men in the scenario, and maybe I could buy it for a fictional scenario. Trump has just done too much damage to his brand among Hispanics IMO to win 270 following a road out west.

The story would center around "x changed everything"with x being some external event ime.

With the amount of criticism Trump has heaped upon Romney for how he closed out the 2012 election, you have to imagine Trump will have an October Surprise ready and waiting.

Reince, on this, has the thesis that because Trump isn't a hypocrite about it, no one will care.

Good article from a Republican about how the denizens of the Right will try to position themselves to benefit from a Trump loss.

Why?

He heaped criticism on Romney for not releasing tax returns but then won't himself

I actually hypothesize that temperature correlates well with how crappy a country is. Not claiming it to be true but something that could be looked into. And there is outliers.

Jared Diamond's "Guns, Germs and Steel" has a bunch of stuff about how being in the tropics sucks for societies for a number of reasons (diseases are rampant, everything rots, it's hard to do physical work etc). If you look, say, within Europe or within the US, it's generally true that the hotter regions are less prosperous than the colder ones.

The most interesting part about that was the bit about why FOA actually shuttered its operation, imo.

Saw the interview with Reince Prebius today. He seems like he got abducted by a Trump cult and is just parroting everything they told him to say to make Trump look good. Though obviously it is in his own interests as chairman of the RNC to make Trump look good.

Well, being in cold weather places obviously sucks also. Don't think the cultural capital of the world has ever been in a place as cold as Scandinavia.
