It is, but only the first few of us who registered have been added to the pool.

It looks like the rest of the entrants have been added now:

22 Entries in this pool!

22 Entries are still alive!

I can see the 2+2 pool now. This is cool; thanks whoever came up with this idea and whoever signed off on this idea.

Fwiw if you have multiple 2p2 accounts and multiple Nitrogen accounts and are trying to game the system you will be caught and not paid. My wife is on 2p2 and wanted to join the pool. I asked Nitro if could have multiple accounts from same household. They said no and that your accounts will be closed and not paid. Don't f this up for everyone.

Nitrogen also somehow inexplicably messed up the 1 BTC pool. It says there are no entries but there are actually 7. Can't even verify who those people picked. Wouldn't be surprised if magically they were all on Chiefs. Extremely frustrating and I don't know how only that pool, the one that is 10x higher than the next biggest pool, happens to have a display issue. I'm not a coder, but that makes no sense. Should be the same code across the board and it's worked fine in previous years. What was changed this year? Doesn't make sense.

ya it works now.

but last night at 8:15pm (5 mins before kick off) it showed there were 0 entrants.

so I decided to fire a bullet on the Chiefs, thinking that if I got through, people would be less likely to enter if they saw someone already through.

but then it turns out by some magical reason, there was a display issue only on that pool. it appears there are 8 entries, 4 of whom picked chiefs.

If at kickoff last night I saw there were already 7 entries, I wouldn't have joined.

so nitrogen pulled a fast one there to juice the entries. and now I have chiefs gone so my EV has to be lower, even though I'm already through week 1.

Has anyone here written anything to scrape/organize Nitrogen survivor pool info? If not I may try to slap something together.

I paid someone on upwork $4/hour last year to manually do it. An auto scraper would be great. I'll send you a donation if you get one set up.

Why fade Baltimore? Too much future value?

They have so many possible spots to be used I wouldn't want to use them (or Chiefs) in 1 when there's so many other good candidates that are 5.5 favorites are higher. Ravens are 7.5

After watching what took place in college football yesterday, I think these lines could be wildly inaccurate with lack of fans in the stadiums, and it could be a week 1 blood bath. I entered one contest, gonna go with Indy and hope I get lucky I guess.

Taking more San Francisco. They're only 49/1,390 in the $1,000 Circa (Las Vegas). I'm on New England in that. Picks lock on Saturday

I'm on the following in order of most importance...

New England, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh

In a 4200 person pool in my area, they required 2 picks in weeks 1 and 2 for fear of covid ending season early I imagine. Only 1/3 of the pool advanced.

I'm still alive on a few picks in a large (6K+ pool) but all but out losing a majority of my entries so basically done. Only 3K of the 6200 are left. I lost a few on the Lions which was arguably my toughest Survivor loss in a few seasons. Just a horrific loss on a team that had no true future value.

Sarcasm? The Lions were the right side of the game. Who said you have to take over 3 point favorites? Or a moneyline favorite over a certain threshold? I've gotten to the end of a Survivor pool taking underdogs out of necessity (and avoiding 8-10 point favorites that lost outright, that had weird moneyline movement).

Just hard to be too sympathetic about someone losing a survivor pool entry in week 1 on a tiny favorite. It's like the smallest loss a gambler can possibly have.

It was a terrible pick. There is always going to be a 55% option available to you so absolutely no upside to getting that crazy in Week 1 unless your pool has weird rules. Congrats on running good using bad strategies in the past though.

Nitrogen Entries 2019 vs 2020

POOL20192020
FREEROLL4,3791,801
PROSPECT1,9061,578
DRAFTEE1,003754
ROOKIE?480
CAPTAIN383407
ALL PRO319244
MVP112169
HOF24986
NITROGEN139

note: BTC price basically the same ($10,200 vs $10,600)

note 2: last year, 1 person had approximately half the entries in the HOF pool.

I'm surprised the Freeroll has such a surprising drop in numbers. It's also paying 0.3 BTC this year vs 0.2 BTC last year.

Off to a a good start this season with most entries being either NE/PITT ----my one Covid related bit of advice for those who care, is that Immed ev should take on more weight this season than FV due to the uncertainty of future cancellations, future covid cases to key players etc. FV was always the more variant of the variables, but this season I believe it is more so. GL all.
