Adding Miocic by decision at +325.

@DannyOcean, this is the toughest fight of both guys' careers. Don't buy that these guys have "big power."

Pineda/Brown, tough fight to score.

I think the evidence is there. Del Rosario's never been over 1.5, and has 8 KOs (and he's got some kind of kickboxing accomplishments that are vague). Stipe is coming off a < 1 minute KO and finished every fight but the Beltran fight via KO/TKO. And just about every HW striker has big power, realistically.

Admittedly, neither guy has been facing great competition, and this is their toughest test yet. But both have been finishing against guys who aren't total cans at an extremely high rate. This seems to me like it's likely one guy is going to outclass the other guy, it's just hard to say who because we haven't seen them fight guys on their own level yet. Just imo.

How was that hard to score? First two rounds were clearly Brown's.

Miocic never really seemed to be close to finishing Beltran despite landing many strikes IIRC.

I'm not looking 100% focused on the fight, I just said r1 seemed close, which was when I said tought fight, I was just seeing lots of back and forward.
Btw, how do people score last round? Pineda was in Browns guard like the whole round except for 1.3 min when he had Browns back.

Can't wait to see how he does over the next few years!

Should have done more research on him prior to the fight, it was obvious he was a killer as soon as they showed his highlights....

I woulda had it even I think. Back taking and pummeling was big, but I'm also a huge believer in knockdowns = big points.

Whew...glad I didn't end up betting Kingsbury -_- Teixeira obliterated him with laughable ease.

0.5

He didn't seem interested in theater at the weigh ins?

haha, yeah, he's def speaking up on Obama, but I think maybe they won't be interviewing him in the octagon if he wins, unless they've talked to him prior and told ihm, don't say anything political.

2 for 2 so far

Come on Sass, make it 3 for 3 (granted none of my major bets have happened yet)

Volkmann is such a tool I hope Sass chokes him out

If Volkmann wins, he's on a 6 fight winstreak, wonder how long far away from a titleshot he is... I do hope Sass take this, let's go, choke this mofo.

lol we're already at one

'volkmann for president' shirt definitely a political statement and he hasn't even gotten into the ring yet.

what a douche. it's hard to overestimate his douchiness, i guess.

If Sass mentions 'vote Obama' or something it would be the perfect way to rub it in to Volkmann for being a douche

Can't wait to see Sass on the main card.

LOL schooled, ouch. Can't wait to bet the house against Sass when he faces someone who can wrestle and box though.

lol Paul Sass is like comically soft spoken. Say something dude, you just subbed a guy in the biggest promotion in the world!
