Lost 4u for the card but given that most of that was the Anderson bet that again ended due to randomness just as Anderson was getting his striking going, we'll never know

Weidman/Belfort. I'm still a Weidman doubter. He's clearly elite, but i'm taking Belfort at +100 or better assuming he's allowed to be on TRT etc

Edit: just realised i'm down 2u not 4u because I won my sidebet. Amazing card, with a different ending (any different ending) would have been one of the best cards ever

Only if Weidman landed another big punch on the ground, Anderson was always defending from the stage where it hit the ground

So Vitor vs Weidman is next followed by Machida if he wins in Feb?

Not 10-8. No way.
Anderson still damaged Weidman's face slightly from the bottom.

weidman will lose one of his next 2 fights

Well, at least now Machida can take over the throne and we'll see what happens when Weidman faces trt vitor (though it wont be in brazil, so will he be allowed) and machida.

I agree, I think Belfort or Machida will be champ at the end of 2014. I'll take either against Weidman at +100

If Machida wants to do something. He better hurry, already on the wrong side of 30.

He landed offense, only got rocked once and didn't take enough damage for it to even be close to a 10-8, it wasn't even the most dominant round of the night

I like Weidman over Belfort and Machida beating both.

Aw man. I'm so bummed it's unreal. My buddy and I been waiting for this fight since his loss. We're german and we had to stay up till 6 AM. We were so damn ready for a ****ing epic fight. I was so pumped I even put 500 bucks on silva for the gambles. And damn I was so sure Silva would win. And then that epic first round. Silva making that monsterrecovery. So ****ing intense. I agree he seemed quite insecure in Round 2 and Weidman def dominated bigtime, but even then I felt like if Silva gets confident he's gna smash him. But man o man.. man o man o man that broken leg killed it. I'm so gutted it's unreal. Waiting for this so long. Being so hyped. And then..

Had to post this.

Randy Couture was on the wrong side of 40 when he made his run.

Machida's taken very little damage for a fighter of his age, a TKO to Shogun and a sub to Jones and very few of his other fights have led to him taking serious damage (of the ones ive seen only the shogun fights and jones had machida taking any serious blows)

I mean what's the chance of Silva not retiring? <1%?

I agree Machida has a better chance than Belfort. He has the TDD/elusiveness to keep it standing, isn't undersized for the division anymore and has Anderson-level precision striking.

Belfort's more likely to knock Weidman out quickly, but he's also more likely to get taken down and subbed

I'd cap Weidman/Belfort at something like -110 each side and Machida/Weidman at -150 for Machida

He knocked him down then pummeled him the rest of the round. lol if that's not a 10-8 they don't exist. The key is the knockdown.

And Weidman freight trains Belfort, that's a promise. Can't stop AJ takedowns? LOL he is gonna be on his back within seconds against Weidman.

He knock him down then probably landed less strikes then anderson... anderson avoided alot of them.... He def won the round though.... I wouldnt give it a 10 8 round... 10 8 round is like when carwin smash lesnar for the entire round...

If he's at evens and Weidman doesn't look drastically improved against Belfort then i'll bet 5u+ depending on how Machida looks against Mousasi. Good chance we get Belfort as champ vs Machida anyway

Belfort can knock anyone out standing including Weidman if he lands a flurry before being taken down.

Well we did get 1 round of AS w/ his hands up taking Weidman serious as F this time and he still got beat up.

Silva wasn't himself tonight. He let the last fight get in his head and he abandoned the style that made him the GOAT, he looked hesitant and not in the matrix like he usually does.

I'm pretty confident Weidman could have gotten the W if the fight went longer. He came out smart, prepared for leg kicks, didn't think of himself as some stand-up god because he KO'd AS last time, etc.
