Yeah, I guess having so much trouble making weight didn't matter at all when you just had to land one clean punch.

Sucks cause I thought Thoresen looked much the better fighter. Wonder whether the eye poke put Thoresen off at all. Feel mildly robbed.

What, he didn't looked that concerned with it. It was not like he was not getting punched prior to the eye poke. I mean, some punches landed a bit clean though nothing like the last one..

He was looking to be the better one though, it was just an abnormality he got KTFO I think considering how they looked.

entertaining first round

Jim Hettes: YOU NEED TO CLINCH AND TAKE HIM DOWN. DO WHAT YOU DID TO NAM PHAN, OR YOU LOSE

Hettes looks awful. Good thing his chin can cope.

It seems Hettes is using the Homer technique, trying to tire out his opponent by getting punched repeteadly in the face...

Wow, I did not think Brimage was getting up there.

Hettes has some amazing trips and throws from the clinch

Well, 1 round each, hopefully Brimage is tired.

19-19, good fight so far. Guess it comes down to whether Hettes can get a takdedown in r3

Well, Hettes officially has the fight IQ of early-Struve or Penn against Edgar

I think it's 29-28 Brimage but it's closer than the commentators made it out, Hettes was using head movement in a way that was making it look like Brimage's punches were connecting more than they actually did and he did control the octagon, I do think Brimage took it 29-28 but it wouldn't be the worst robbery if they gave it to Hettes.

Also, hype train derailed etc. but that's more to Hettes low fight IQ than anything. Spam takedowns, get one, win. It's not hard.

This is actually closer than Bendo/Edgar 2 for example (with Edgar winning that fight)

I'd say it's pretty clearly Brimage

Edit: yep, judges got it right. Brimage keeps getting better, but surely he's going to get destroyed when he faces the upper guys in the division. I guess he's actually earned a top 20 guy next.

Can someone comment on Dunham/Grant for me please? Is it always terrible to bet against THAT much money coming in on Grant?

Wtf was Hettes doing, so many opportunities to clinch and take him down after he rushes in, he just half assed 2 attempts in the whole round. He looked slow as **** from the start too.

Looks like it! If only he had tried harder to get the take down in the third.

i added a unit on dunham when it hit -140. grant is a decent fighter, but dunham is sort of a gatekeeper to elite status, and i think his experience, talent, and pedigree will be just too much for him this time.

You can't just rush someone and "control" the cage if you aren't hitting your opponent.. .Of course this was far far away from hendo edgar(with Hendo winning that fight) in terms of judging. This was a pretty clear 28-27 and it would have been a robbery nonetheless.

Seriously I am so glad you are not a judge if you think Bendo beat Edgar the second time. ALL of the sherdog judges had it for Edgar and it was closer to 49-46 than it was to Bendo winning.

I agree that moving forward eating punches or kicks is not octagon control though (hence scoring it for Brimage, and scoring Condit/Diaz for Condit easily, and I scored Machida/Rampage for Machida)

Also, 29-28 (just to be a nit)
