Here's a free play from my website. Hope everyone has a great weekend...

Santa Anita - Race 2

#11 Miss McCall (6/1 ml)

Smallish gray filly can really motor, breaking from an extreme outside post last time to press early fractions that were only a tick slower to the half-mile and 5-furlong mark than those set in the Grade 1 Ancient Title (won by the Breeders Cup Sprint challenger Gayego) an hour later on the same card. Seemed to tire just a bit through the final furlong, but that's understandable considering her early exertions, and also the fact that she was making her first start in over 4 months. Clearly enjoys the surface, holds a nice pace edge here, and should be fitter with the comeback race under her belt. Hard to find much fault with her.

Breeders Cup Friday "Ladies Day" 11/6/08

3.) 9-6-3
4.) 8-7-3
5.) 10-3-6
6.) 4-2-5
7.) 9-7-2
8.) 1-7-5
9.) 11-4-13

Todays card speaks for itself, just some super racing. I thought the 5th was wide wide open,as is the 9th. I will be using more horses in the 5th (7,8,11),but not touching the 9th. I am playing rolling DD's from the 3rd to the 8th,and 4 pk3's with those races as well 3-8.

Both these horses look like a good fit for the distance(I like Mushka better with Kent D up). I just think the pace scenario works against them if the 1 horse gets the half in :47.4. That is the reason I threw the 8 in on top - she should be able to drop into a nice stalking position for JLep.

But that is why they run 'em! Good luck all.

a short rant.
I have tvg and hrtv and watch them every day.On big days like the Breeders Cup today the races are shown live on ESPN- their camera angles are like they are doing a calendar shoot. Head on ,from the side, overhead, everything but what we're used to. End of rant- feel better now.

Boy. I should stay in the kiddie pool. The good news for me is I am playing small today so far.

Blind Luck seemed to have no excuse, but the winner did get a great trip up the inside.

Open mouth, insert chalk.

My simple level one thinking pays off here...plus I listened to a trainer's comments!

Sry Kev.

A great day of racing today,Midday really impressed me,very nice horse there. He came out for the post-parade and i just said "Oh F@#$,just looked the best, and ofcorse went against him it that one, sure Kev probally saw the same.

Well the 3rd race obv made my day,my babys momma does it again,i usually can keep it pretty cool, but i got a little cowboy watching it,wow...drew a few tears from me, Better Than Honour is equine royalty imo, thank you again!

I missed on all my DD's,PK3's,and missed all but 1 small exacta. Made 700+ in race 3 today, lost 300+ in exotics today,so approx $300 profit on the day,not really what im looking for on BC day,but when you dont hit your exotics thats how it goes. If i didnt hit MOI in the 3rd it would of been a tough day, thanks again BTH.

I havent started tomorrows card yet, still trying to put together what i saw today to tomorrows card. I am however decided on my play for the BCC. I am taking Zenyatta for $1000 Win wager. Shes earned it,shes my 2nd fav horse ever. The 1k play really is just a sign of respect from me to her,and what i think of her,i dont care really if she goes off at 1-9,or 9-1,just that she comes out of it healthy. She will give her best, she always does, and thats all you can ask. I know my logic isnt orthodox in this situation, its just how i feel.

I know for sure i will be playing the all G1 PK6,but not sure about the late PK4 or other exotics till i cap. I havent been listening to any horse anything, turning on some music, and getting to it. Last year i made the mistake of capping both days at the same time, and it really hurt me,wasnt making that mistake again, think i was down 1500 last BC. I will also give my exact pk6,and other rolling exotics tomorrow also,i hope everyone else will give theres as well.

Just capped tomorrow's races, here goes:

1) 7,2,5
2) 7,4,6
3) 2,4,1
4) 5,1,8
5) 13,4,9
6) 11,8,10,6
7) 1,9,3
8) 5,2,7
9) 4,3,1,6
10) 6,9,11

I'm going to be hitting up the early and late pk 4, some pick 3s and a few daily doubles tomorrow. These are my preliminary thoughts, but I may post some of my specific bets tomorrow, or if I change my mind from a few of these picks and find value from further examination. Looking forward to comparing my picks with some of you other regular posters to see if we handicapped any races similarly.

I will go on record as saying I'm in the Zenyatta camp. I think she's got the right pace, experience on the synthetic, and overall is the best horse. That said, I kind of think Summer Bird might be a horse that can sneak in there, as well as Mine That Bird with that nutty Borel closing in late. I am really looking forward to tomorrow...

My best bet is: #5 Dar Re Mi in Race 8 ($3Mil Emirate Airlines BC Turf)

My two favorite value plays are (both 8/1 ML): #2 Silver Timber in Race 3 ($1Mil BC Turf Sprint) and #7 Bridgetown in Race 2 ($1Mil BC Juvenile Cup Turf)

Wish everyone lots of luck.

Drunk and going to quickly post my picks for 8,9,10 (already did 1-7)

8.) 2-6 Exacta Box.
9.) Summer Bird (3) WP. I know, unproven on the synthetic, but other than Zenyatta who I don't think can stand up to the competition, not many are proven on the synth. I'm worried about Gio Ponti though.
10.) 3-7 Ex Box. 7 WP.

Pick 4 for races 4-7:

1-5-8
4
3
3-2-5

Good luck everyone!
