pretty disappointed with MMM in the SM yesterday. looked like he just quit. kathy ritvo said she didnt find anything wrong with him after the race.

also i hate the bs "he didnt fire" or "he didnt like the track". give me a break. he quit and that really sucks. :-(

Look back in MMM's past performances. He only threw 1 other bad race & that was in the Belmont & in the slop. He ran yesterday's race the exact same way. IMO, it was the off going. Hard to believe I know cos his wet # is like 410 I believe. FWIW

I absolutely know that feeling Pdiggz.. Yesterday for about 45 mins I was feeling like a genius. In the late pick 3 at gulfstream yesterday, in the 1st leg, I pitched the #2 from my tix, I played the 3,4,6 in that race & the #6 won paid $19.80, then in leg 2, I singled #5 Ron The Greek (I really swelled up inside when he won going away @ $8.40 defeating MMM @ odds of 2/5 ).. So in leg 3 I used the 6,7,9,10,12 & my thinking at that time was " ok this is n the bag, I jus need to go hang out by the window".... In a perfect world I suppose, but the #3 had to crash my party. I spent $60 on a $4 pick3 & was lookin at anywhere between $880-$2400!! Lookin back, I wish I had just bet $60 on RTG's nose.. However, I was smart enough to play a $2 DD 5 w 1,2,3,4,5,8,11. Naturally the #3 was the lowest DD will pay of the ones I had, the $2 DD returned me $85.40.... Needless to say the $11 I made was a major disappointment!!

PS, MMM should have never been 2/5... Bettors lost their minds IMO. Carrying that much weight, & the off track made it sketchy, but I was tryin to beat him from the beginning so I'm obviously biased.. Where u playin at today Pdiggz??

Pumped for Gulfstream on Saturday, too.

I think I like AK in this 1. PoE is the highweight and seems better suited for longer distance. 1 1/8m is right in AK's wheelhouse.

What I don't get is Unbridled Command 15/1ML. I mean I know this is his first race vs. older horses, but he's won 6 of 10 lifetime included 3 Stakes races. Last time out he won the Gr.I Hollywood Park Derby. And the horse that finished 2nd, Grandeur, came back to score convincingly in the Gr.II Hollywood Turf Cup next time out. I mean 15/1, WTF is this?

Thoughts on the Donn?

bettors have sucked all the value out of this race. maybe PoE @ 3/1 is some thin value? pass.

lets go AK!!!!!

Honcho, you get any of that storm yesterday? family said they got hit in MA pretty good.

Johnny Velazquez >>>>> Joel Rosario

PoE shows some versatility. pretty much on top form. good for Phipps, too, i like that. AK dug in well but PoE had more. nothing wrong with his effort.

Was out in the desert for awhile, then came back to mid michigan just in time for the foot of snow, not nearly as bad as our east coast friends, but enough for me to bytch ...

Exactly the problem that has kept my wallet away from the track, lack of value. Give me exchange wagering, where i have set odds, and a ton more options,or wake me up when you do.

Rosario moved AK way to early. That was a huge mistake that cost AK the race and the bettors supporting him. Bad ride by Rosario.

AK is gonna b a great Miler. U could see him get tired in the last furlong by going to his wrong lead. With how slow the pace was i think rosario did what he had to do. I think people forget why POE went off as fave in the BC. AK jus got beat by a tad classier horse imo.

Lowest takeout in the country. I play Hou every nite they run. I follow Texas racing like its a religion. Retama is my fave tho.

Furthermore, by playing $5 pick3's ive learned that i never have to worry bout hitting a signer. Hypothetically speaking if the 7 had won the 1st leg & then the 7 again in the 2nd leg. And bcos the pool is relatively small, i often find myself lookin at a .50c pick3 paying $700. Funny game, but i know what ur sayin. Ive learned Hou is 1 of the least saturated pick3 pools that offers the .50c option. Usually always get paid what is rite & often times an over pay. I
Also i didnt think they would like the #2 that much in the 2nd leg. I was the thinkn 8/5 to 2/1 range. Oh well

the thing i like about the track announcer at Hou is when he's giving all of the winners info, he ALWAYS says, "... she was bred in xyz..." regardless of whether the horse is m/f.
