Was ready to chase Belmont P6 carryover but concluded it's the most cluster**** card I've seen in my life. I'm gonna predict it carries over again today.

#8 Themanmythnlegend in the 9th at Monmouth, if he runs two figures back is competitive here. At 16-1 worth a shot.

Timeless Classic will be tough.

im three out of four for life, i think...

late pk4 at hollywood paid big bucks today, my deepest race on my ticket was the first leg, and I still didn't have the #2. hit my single in the 7th, was 2 deep in the 8th and 9th and hit both, adding insult to injury. just venting.

Hey guys, thought I'd share this again. www.formscore.com is giving away four free cards tomorrow (Belmont, Churchill, Calder, Hollywood). These are the guys that make ground-loss speed figures (Kinda like thorograph and The sheets) but they also do path/track bias adjustments. I've been using their free product for the past week and it looks pretty good, plan on launching a big attack on these four tracks tomorrow.

Can't beat free when those other sites charge $25-$35 for this stuff.

They are giving away BELMONT, CALDER, CHURCHILL DOWNS & HOLLYWOOD PARK for free tomorrow but I'm a n00b and have NO clue how to interpret the #'s.

They are speed figures. Higher the faster. There's patterns to them. The speed figure/sheet theory is based alot on bounces (horses react negatively to a very strong efforts, thus knocking them out for a short period of time) rest/spacing, and rounding back to form.

Here's some thorograph tutorials.. http://www.thorograph.com/introduction.php. Thorograph goes the other way, (lower better), typically 0 and anything below zero is G1 stakes quality.. FormScore Grade 1 quality seem to be around 60 (with dirt ass maiden claimers around 20 or lower).

Belmont Park twitter just said their card is cancelled for record breaking heat.. Huh? Never done it before. Sounds like they think having the Pick 6 for Friday will be better for business.

how about I hit this $0.50 pk4 at CALDER, then roll that profit over to the pk6 at HOL??? whaddaya say...

5) 7,8,9 -- intrigued by the first time starter, #8 Sweet Dreamer, trainer hits at 18% on first time, and has some decent works. had the 10 in my crosshairs, but i figured if I'm including a first timer it's going to be the 8, and 8 only...

6) 4,9,10 -- this 9 horse has a 15/1 ML today, won at CALDER last year at a 40000 Claimer has some decent back class, proved he can rate an win at a similar class at TAM a few races back. had to include him

7) 4 -- reluctant leaving of the 5 here, if I'm alive I'll throw some $$ on the 5.

8) ALL -- anybody's race, I couldn't even throw out the 2 or 3 (both double digit MLs) here...

$36 total.

98 degrees with humidity level near 40%. Pretty close to safety extremes.

"When is it too hot to trot? A good rule of thumb when assessing how the heat will affect your workout is to measure the Heat Stress Index (HSI). If the sum of the temperature in degrees Fahrenheit plus the percent of humidity totals less than 120, all systems are “go.” If the sum is greater than 150, particularly if humidity contributes to more than half of this number, your horse’s natural cooling mechanisms will be compromised. You should consider lowering the intensity of your workout, shortening the length of time, or riding later in the day. If the HSI is greater than 180, a horse cannot regulate his core body temperature naturally, so he should not be forced to work. For instance, if it is 100 degrees with 80 percent humidity, leave your horse in a shaded paddock with plenty of cool, clean drinking water and go have a cold drink yourself."

Nonsense Triple H. Do you think they would have cancelled the Belmont in those "extreme" conditions? ZERO Percent. ZERO!! There's your safety concerns. These are nearly identical conditions to the 2008 Belmont (Big Brown).

Saratoga has 5-7 racing days every summer in those conditions.

I agree Metsman I cant remember NYRA having cancelled a card due to heat. I charted for the pick 6 for 3 hours last night I was pissed waking up this morning to find it cancelled.

4.) 5-7-1
5.) 4-1-7
6.) 8-4-2
7.) 5-7-4

I just like poking the bear.

But wouldn't canceling the card cost them a lot of money?

$20 Win $30 Place on #1 DR Green in the 7th at HOL.

I'm out of the pk6 and pk4. scratch of the 8 in the 6th didn't help, but it seems as if the #6 was much the best, anyway.
