I was in the front row of club level w/ a 420mm lens. My pics of Bonds weren't so hot cuz he bats lefty obv.

Question: When do you guys get time to read between poker, schoolwork, poker, partying, 2+2 and sex(if u have gf)?????????

Snowed a solid 2 feet at my house last night. Unfortunately we have a base of zero so snowboarding is still a storm away for me.

It's also good for your language proficiency, I love to read in english - such an excellent language IMO. Christmas has always been a time for reading, for me, so I'm looking forward to finding a really good book to enjoy in front of the fireplace with a cup of coffee or hot chocolate.
I currently prefer watching TV-series, surfing the internet or chatting over reading. I used to read all the time when I was younger (think 6-12), but I don't really like it anymore. About the language proficiency; that's definitely true. I was one of the few kids reading English books when I was twelve and older, and I really notice the difference between me and my classmates (studying international business, in English).

On that topic; I was running around at school today, I received a wrong form - to get a scholarship for China I had to get some forms retrieved and filled in before 4.30pm. After running around for an hour I handed everything in at 4.27pm. Ship the $$$$! It's about €1200, 1800$. For free. I would have felt pretty bad if I would have missed that.

Now I have to start packing for tomorrow... and do the ****ing dishes. I hate the latter. I also noticed my flight leaves two hours earlier than I had in my mind. So lucky that I printed the ticket today instead of tomorrow, that would have been awkward .

I do most of my reading on the toilet and in bed before I fall asleep.

I've never understood people who read on the toilet. Seriously, your turds can't take that long to come out can they?

some people don't eat enough fiber

It's just another place to sit. If I have my laptop I'll sometimes play poker in there as well.

But srsly, it's a bad habit that I acquired when I was a kid and never got rid off. Same with eating. I am physically unable to eat food alone without reading or watching something (or playing poker).

Preemptive flush FTW!

Arctic monkeys are fine, if a bit... immature is kinda what I want to say without sounding condescending. Might just be age-ism. They're definitely not as great as the british press makes them out to be (best band in the world, lol no).

i don't get them at all

jay,
ya that part about sonny's wang is a bit unecessary.

worm,
yeah, i am legend seems decent, its just that will smith is sortve a meh actor. i probably will still see it opening weekend though because i'm a freak.

phil,
i really did think that godfather the book was better than the movie. the thing i love about books is that they can convey so much more than shown in the movies (the history of luca brasi, the more vivid description of the turk and Al neri). the movie(s) were very good and i just watched I for the second time in the past week, but i still really enjoyed the books.

all,
i also have read freakanomics and blink...both were pretty fun, i liked freakanomics a bit more though. among other senseless fiction i've read are dream catcher by SK, and some michael crichton books like jurrassic park/sphere/etc.

thanks for the recommendation on that book, the walking dead phil.

I'm gonna go see Across the Universe tonight with a date. Anybody seen it? Good choice?

reading on the ****ter is one of my greatest pleasures. just sit there, read for a long time, let the **** come slowly, etc.
12-07-2007 , 01:51 PM
wtf with poker while taking a ****?? i never got this tbh...or the magazines lots of people have on their toilets, meh, i guess i'm not the type to sit there and day dream though
12-07-2007 , 01:57 PM
not playing poker for me...i just like to read.
12-07-2007 , 02:00 PM

Thanks guys.

Kolo, you haven't even IMed me at all recently, wtf.

Why the **** do I ever drink heavily on weeknights? Waking up still hammered and having to go to work to wait for the inevitable hangover is un****ingbearable.

What makes it worse is the endless stream of perky ****s who come by to chat me up and ask moranic questions.

I wonder how many highlighters I'd have to eat to end it all.................................

i've just been watching MADE on UK MTV. why do American schools not have uniforms? pretty much every school in the UK does... just looks really odd to me... like all the students are on holiday or something?

not an attack... just a cultural difference i noticed.

I don't really think of that as a bad habit, it's pretty normal. At least for me and most of my friends
