It's got a lot tougher in the last few months though. But not in the way you'd expect. There's no money at under 200nl imo. All the fish seem super nitty and you're battling with rake to make money. Also theres a million regs at 200nl or under who are scared to move up but happy with the 3k-10k a month poker is providing them.
My theory on it is that because of the economy all the people who used to fund the low stakes are now struggling. The ones that do play dont want to lose their £100 deposit and as such play nitty and limp etc. Then rake easts away a lot of the money.
The guys who donate at 600nl to 5knl are guys earning 100k+ per year and probably a fair few of them are millionaires who dont mind dropping 200k over 3 months for fun. This means the games are more splashy, agro and profitable.
This basically falls into the old joke of move up where they respect your raises! A lot of 100nl and 200nl grinders will probably look at this post and think what an idiot but i've been doing this stuff for years and its true lol.
Lol this is a funny poast because it isn't really false.
You do get less people who spin-up monies and make it to the highstakes while having no clue though.
But seriously, the only difference between stakes now is the regs are better when you move up, there isnt more or less fish per table after 100NL. You also pay less rake in bb/100 of course.
