I live with GF but its similar. She goes to bed at like 11, then I go back out and play on the comp/watch sports etc.

TBH GOAT, I would maintain this kind of schedule even if I was single. Its not like I hold to it 100%, even now, if I want to go out on a weeknight I skip my morning session the next day obviously, and would do the same were I single. Its more just a strong guideline rather than a hard and fast rule. Even when single I probably dont go out more than 3x/week (im talking big nights where I am hungover the next day), so I just maintain the schedule on every day im not hungover, it works well when sometimes that is a saturday or sunday.

Anyone watch Murray/Djokovic get that dispiriting, certain feeling that Murray would just weakly surrender that service game for the match at 5 6 in the 5th.

sometimes i think poker gives me too much freedom, i have so much free time and money and combine that with being in college and it can only lead to excessive partying and drinking...iv just basically binged for the last 4 days and narrowly avoided being evicted from my house today for inviting over 100 people over to my house for my birthday

Don't know how you can criticise him. He played possibly the best he's ever played and was up against the best player in the world, who was also inspirational.
At the end of the day Andy Murray is ****ing unlucky. If he had been born 10 years earlier or probably 10 years later then he would be going down as one of the alltime greats. At this rate he will have done well to get a single grand-slam.

yea agree and to elaborate on that, since playing poker i've never respected money at all. i've done some pretty ridiculous things over the past 2-3 years

top 3 most stupid things ive blown money on

put £1100 on england to beat USA in the world cup game
in the same weekend as the bet on england to beat USA i also decided it would be a good idea to buy a adult bouncy castle for £600.
had £1000 on westham to beat millwall in the most recent league game

forgot to post this somehow, massive sweat, go team!

UTG: $3,165 (63.3 bb)
MP: $2,500 (50 bb)
CO: $1,075 (21.5 bb)
BTN: $2,695 (53.9 bb)
Hero (SB): $2,500 (50 bb)
BB: $2,315 (46.3 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A A
3 folds, BTN raises to $150, Hero raises to $500, BB folds, BTN raises to $2,695 and is all-in, Hero calls $2,000 and is all-in

Flop: ($5,050) 5 8 8 (2 players, 2 are all-in)
Turn: ($5,050) Q (2 players, 2 are all-in)
River: ($5,050) 3 (2 players, 2 are all-in)

Results: $5,050 pot ($5 rake)
Final Board: 5 8 8 Q 3
BTN showed K K and lost (-$2,500 net)
Hero mucked A A and won $5,045 ($2,545 net)

vs PLUPPLUP123, a proper cnut, how is it possible to play 16/12 shorthanded?

I work between 7 pm and 2 am, then make dinner and a drink a decent bottle of wine, wake my GF up with a cup of Barry's at 7.30 then sleep, rinse and repeat, we're pretty happy

    BTN: $417.85 (104.5 bb)
    Hero (SB): $460.60 (115.2 bb)
    BB: $406 (101.5 bb)
    UTG: $471.90 (118 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with T 8
UTG folds, MP raises to $8, 2 folds, Hero raises to $28, BB folds, MP calls $20

    Flop: ($60) 8 8 4 (2 players)
Hero bets $40, MP calls $40

    Turn: ($140) T (2 players)
Hero bets $88, MP calls $88

    River: ($316) 4 (2 players)
Hero bets $304.60 and is all-in, MP calls $304.60

    Spoiler:
    Results: $925.20 pot ($3 rake)
    Final Board: 8 8 4 T 4
    MP showed 4 4 and won $922.20 ($461.60 net)
Hero mucked T 8 and lost (-$460.60 net)

Depends on your personality. Money is overrated btw, the whole thing would do more harm than good imo.

makes me laugh at all these apparent experts in psychological wellbeing who would 'snap accept' (what a f*cking annoying phrase btw). How anyone can have any comprehension of how hellish this would be is beyond me.

I probably wouldn't do it even for six months.

ha i know they act like its a game of poker...oh i snap accept and that is definately +ev. life isnt a game of poker.

its an insult to that poor guy who actually spent 2 years in solitary and who now only has a fked up mind to enjoy that 22 million with
    01-28-2012 , 05:27 PM
22 mega though. Imagine what you could do with that!!!
    01-28-2012 , 05:38 PM
I'd probably do it if it was honest solitary, with regular meals and an hour a day exercise.

If it was at all like the conditions described in the article, with the guy ripping out his own teeth and his toenails curling around his feet due to lack of dental/medical care, then... hell no.

22 mill isn't worth dyng over.
    01-28-2012 , 06:02 PM
    serious question.

would you allow for your leg (left or right your choice) to be chopped off for £20 million?

edit: in a hospital so there is very small risk of infection etc and you have access to pain medication
