First what do you think about flop check ?
I def want to defend my flop checking range and don't want to get c/r with these hands, 8d is nice as well when flush/str8 comes on the board, but also we want value/protection badly otf, so i don't know what do you think ?

Then river is pretty ugly obv, if i'm folding that i'm probably folding my range so not cool, on the other hands in terms of explo not sure if vilain is still gonna have enough bluff to justify a call and tons of things gets there

Standard cbet flop for value. You won't typically get x/r that often with 8d8x, but if you do then play some poker. This hand is presumably pretty high up in your range.

Otr you should have a decent amount of 55,56 in your range, yeah? Hands which actually makes sense to checkback flop fwiw.

Overpairs need to be in our in position cbetting range, if we aren't cbetting overpairs/top pairs for value but cbet bluff with the same frequency then good opponents will just crush us with check raises and will be able to play perfectly against us. There are a ton of hands that we are ahead of that will call a bet on this flop that can easily turn some equity. Checking back because we are "afraid" of getting check raised is a terrible reason, and chances are you play waayyy too weak tight.

Your opponent seems like a decent-ish, aggressive reg just based on his preflop stats. Given how passively you played this hand, I expect him to show up with a lot of bluffs since we should have very few flushes in our range, and probably not a ton of 5x either. Its unlikely villains at this stake are making sick merges here with 9x or 2 pair, so he is polarized to 5x, flushes, and air... and all of his air is in his range on the river since you decided to check back the flop. Sometimes we get owned here by flushes, but we should pick off enough bluffs to make this a profitable call given the price we are getting.

Alright i def think that i'm checking way too much otf both with value hands and hands that i should bluff so i'm working on that
