Correct play question Correct play question

Half hour into session of a newly started table 1/3 in Vegas awhile back. Opponent seems aggressive/somewhat competent but seems lose at that. Both stack about $500. He raises to $20 from utg+1, I'm in late position and re-raise to $60 with AA. He 3 bets to $120.

If I call he probably ships it, about 90% of time on flops 10 and under and about 60% on most all other flops. His range is pretty wide here. He was talking(bragging) a lot about how good he was and just won a few thousand on a fight within the 30 mins we were playing. Is a reg, though not in the cardroom we were playing. No personal history up to this point though.

I'm thinking the correct play is to call and see a flop based on scenario/predicted percentages of him going all in on flop and his range. What is the most profitable play based on this situation. Appreciate it. Thank you.

Yeah i would flat most of the time here. Doubt he's particularly good if he's bragging at a 1/3 table. Best to let this type of player hang themselves typically.

Would he ever 4b/f? I doubt it so ship it

This live remember. Probably got JJ trying to see where he's at.

Even more so. I have never seen people 4B/f pre in live games. Online sure.. you see it all the time but live?

Yeah i get you it's rare, but at the same time light 5bets are entirely non-existent too lol. He might figure it out, but otherwise SPR is so low that we can just see a flop, get it in and he'll never ever expect us to have what we have.

I think its more probable that he will 4B/c pre than spazz post

we agree to disagree

I think going all in is the best play. If he calls a light 5bet he will likely also call an all in.

kinda like a call to protect the rest of our calling range here so he can't just blow us over on low flops. The stacks are such that you can't really raise without going all in. Especially in position I like a call here some of the time and a raise some of the time

Protect our 4bet calling range with 160bb when villain open raised to 7x?
I dont think we need to, especially on 1/3 live

It's a 4bet.

Call is fine, but I prefer raising still.

Just move all in. maybe he thinks you have AK. if he folds, make a mental note, then you can expand your range to include AQ as a bluff in same scenario (albeit rare one). Calling is fine too, but board can ruin your action.

I like this play. Villain could see us having AK in our range here.
