Must have been a nice day

played couple of sessions this month after my break. and when i thought my 6 month runbad was over, the magic started to happen.

and how do you lose like 12 60/40 in a row ?

officialy think PS is rigged for me.

2500 BBS under ev in 25k hands is normal ?

Not sure if it's rigged, but you definitely must be in the top .0001% of people in terms of luck if you consider that running 'bad'.

yes i consider losing 25 BIs in a small sample due to a cold deck as running bad.

if it was one month or couple sessions i wouldnt even mind but the problem is that almost every session looks like this and worse for the past 6 months.

guess i should take a break again. and again and again.

it would look better if you didnt show the sd/non-sd lines in the graph imo

take a 20+ year break and only then come back. mental issues like that can't be handled very fast. i wouldn't read or post much here during the break either, bad influence you know.

at least that was my experience, when I had half a year off from poker after 4 years of playing full time. I think I started feeling like I have no clue how to play any more after like 4 months off maybe, if I happened to randomly think about it. 1.5 years later I'm still in a way better mindset about poker than before the hiatus. Only playing like 6-8 months a year and running close to ev probably helps though.

I assume u play golf, and maybe u know the feeling that starts growing when you've played too much and developed all sorts of strange glitches in your swing (I suck, and never got much coaching, but I assume this happens to most, at least occasionally and to some extent. Same applies to any heavily technique-based sport really.). I usually start off pretty good in the beginning of the summer, having forgotten all my bad habits, but at some point, the more I play, I just start messing up my game more and more, yet at the same time expecting better results, all the while tilting harder. I probably tilt more at the golf course at the end of every season than at poker, ever. Thank god for winter, otherwise I'm sure my clubs would be at the bottom of a water hazard by now. Too bad there's no forced off-season in poker. Don't know how well I explained myself, but I hope you can see the analogy
Much appreciated advice in this post. Thank you for sharing your own personal experience and your comparison of golf to poker. They are more similar than what the average person thinks.
I have been wanting to get away from the game for quite some time and now that the time has finally come, I'm kind of scared going forward. I mean like poker is all i have really known for the last few years and the financial payoff has not really been worth it. My only regret is not achieving a higher level of success in this game. What other reasons aside from money do we play poker? Poker has not me a rich man nor has it made me a poor man. I thought id be a little bit better off financially when exiting the game but it is what it is. I will say though that it has definitely taught me the value of a dollar and excellent money management skills. Id probably be boosto if i was a true degen and for this i am thankful.
I start work in a week and will probably still lurk around here from to time and may get back into PLO at some point, but for now an indefinite hiatus is much needed.
if anyone else could share their transition from the poker world to the real world, id love to hear it.
cheers

it's time to face the facts: you are clueless. every other month you are coming here posting your graphs, moaning about alleged runbad, looking for "good advice". you might know how to play some poker, but afraid to take shots to move to higher stakes where $-variance is more extreme, posting nice graphs at microstakes, which are just normal variance, nothing extraordinary. you have no idea what randomness or variance in poker is. what i suggest is to study variance calculators, stop bitching around and cowboy the **** up.
