Sorry, I don't get it, why are you guys so eager for PTR being banned? What does it do so wrong? One side you want to stop PTR giving informations, other side you don't want multiaccounters, cause you got your collected HHs from the tons of hands you played and ofc you use PT/HM to collect/process the information so that you can use it easily vs. your opponents.
Imo then the poor fishes which don't have tons of HHs (cause they are part-time players which just play some hands from time to time) or don't/can't even use PT/HM have a big 'unfair disadvantage' to those which invest a lot of work/time in collecting/processing informations about their opponents, or not?!
BUT ISN'T IT AN IMPORTANT PART OF THE GAME TO COLLECT AS MUCH INFORMATIONS/TELLS OF YOUR OPPONENTS AS YOU CAN GET AND TO USE IT TO GET AN ADVANTAGE AND IMPROVE YOUR GAME?!?!
Should people in livegames obligatorily be masked so that nobody will be able to grab tells or sit down at a table with a well-known fish or ask a friend for infos about a player he played before?
Now don't say PTR gives infos about hands you didn't play yourself, you use only the HHs from the hands you played, lalala... Then be straight and try to use only your brain, no software to collect/process informations, also/especially during the session.
There we are at the point where stars should just give random seat-numbers when you sit down at a table instead of showing screennames and completely ban the use of any software like PT/HM (btw then there are no problems with multiaccounters no more)!
But is that really how onlinepoker should be? A meeting of deaf and blind people playing a cardgame for money?

I don't know if it helps to generate action if ptr shuts down totally. I mean everybody knows me if I join the someone. The average reg isn't going to play anyway. It would be great if ptr isn't tracking anymore and stars allows you to change your screenname for one time. PTR just helps all the bumhunters even more.

not only for bumhunters and to get action better, but because its bad for me when everyone is able to see how much money i have or how much i lose and how i did lose.

also, i can't lye to my girl saying i was playing because she can log at ****** stupid ptr and see my sessions... we loose privacity, which is pretty important.

Pokerstars should ban HEM and PTR (and other helping software & websites).

Also after shutting down HEM, PTR etc, everyone has to change his/her username (u have to change it once in a year). You cant have the same username what u have/had.

Also you cant see where is the player (no country & city)

i agree HM/PTR should be banned... fishs wouldn't be THAT bad if they also had HM or if us didn't have.

I love PTR for making it easy to check general winrates of regs, how much rake is paid at different stakes/sites etc... but overall I think it's still a net negative. It would be great to have PTR like general statistics available somewhere, without publishing stats/winnings for individual players. I understand a business model like this wouldn't work, as people buy PTR premium only to help them bumhunt, and if the PTR results were anonymous you couldn't do that.

Banning HEM sounds just stupid... If you meant only HUD then it's less worse but it'd still be bad imo. It gives cheaters more possibilities to gain unfair advantage (using custom HUDs when HUDs are banned)... and I don't really see any benefit from it.

I don't think the problem of bumhunting will actually improve that much with the removal of ptr fwiw

Ok, but the reality is that it'll be impossible to ban every software if you think just a second about it. If it is officially banned some people will still find a way to use forbidden software and have unfair advantage.
So the only way out will be no screennames at all or we go on as it is atm - nothing in between imo.

PTR is off so much that for results. It misses like 10k of the 60k hands for me and about 100 buyins over those 10k hands.

Never thought about that but it might be nice if PTR cant track that way. This way a version of HUD would be impossible but PTR could email HHs like 24h after a session so that you could import into HEM to look at the result. That should work out...

I believe that in the near future (dont know how long that would take obv) every version of a HUD would be banned ... If thats good or bad everybody can dicide for themself.
