Thank you fjutekk for having the balls to step up to the plate to play Viktor, good luck.
I`m quite disappointed by some other regulars who chickened out.

There is a big discussion about Patrik Antonius latest interview. He says how unfair the games are nowadays because of real time gto software used online. In Joeys Podcast Jason Mo confirms a couple of HSPLO guys are using it. That is really terrible news.

I made a thread to hopefully find out who those cheats are:

I always thought PLO would be WAY easier to solve than LHE NLH would ever be just because of how more str8 forward it is in certain spots.

It's a way easier to construct an accurate range on specific flops and action for your opponents than it is in NLH. PLO is a lot more math based than NLH is.

plo has more forced spots than holdem, but the combinations in the unforced spots are so much higher that it doesn't matter

This might or might not hold true for higher stakes but lower stake, where people are way less GTO and are way tigther / passive in general and str8 forward, I believe I'm right.

Didn't you see the bot thread we just had earlier ? I don't think they have been working on these bots for that long. It's only a question of time before you have these at 5/10+

it's true that the hand combination is way higher in PLO but realistically a lot of these hands can be combined into a big chunk and defined into ranges.

On a lot of board, you'd have to have "some" equity to keep playing whereas in NLH psychology is a big factor, more than PLO.

As I said this apply a lot more at lower stakes as the spots are more often forced as there is more 3 way flop and passiveness.

Even if people had "GTO" software, i'd imagine it's laughable at what they consider "GTO"

Mig I don't understand what you are suggesting. Are you saying that because psychology is more of a thing in NLHE than PLO, that it's game theory solution is more complex?

A gto solution is when both players are maximally exploiting eachother such that neither can improve. They way people try to come to a solution varies, but it is completely dependent on number of betsizes, number of hand combinations, number of positions, and so forth.

Generally people try to "bucket" things together like hand groups (or betsizes)for example. So in PLO

Ts8s9d7d on Td8d2h is the same as Tc8c9h7h on Th8h2s, so the fact that PLO has 270k combos, and NLHE has 1326 (I think?) doesnt mean that the scale to solve plo with bucketing corresponds to the increase in board/hand/betsize combinations from 1326-270k. I would think (but am not sure), that bucketing would be more effective in PLO than NLHE in terms of reducing the possibly combination (% wise), but at the same time, PLO would still be vastly more complex to solve than NLHE, except maybe if you were playing NLHE with pretty deep stacks, and literally any betsize >pot was allowed ( for example you allow 110% of pot, and 110.01%, and 110.02% etc)

Also, i dont even think a GTO solution exists for 6max does it? I havent thought about it much, but iirc in MOP they state that for multiplayer games there is no solution

I think people should be less worried about gto real time machines and more worried about people multi-accounting or being ghosted in high stakes plo...just saying...

There is a solution, but if 5 players are playing Nash equilibrium, and one player deviates, you're not personally guaranteed to gain EV playing Nash (even if the guy deviating is guaranteed to lose EV).
