Also can't get the ipoker software to work on Windows 8, that's pretty sick. Email support isn't working it seems, but I won't bother calling them if they are already aware of the issue.

they are aware but only tip they had was to disable the flash player. i would fire them with emails to get that **** fixed. i rolled back to win7, hate win8 with a passion.

I don't play on ipoker though, I just like to keep track of the action from time to time and also I wanted to check to see if there is any deep plo action at SSPLO.
That being said I think it's crazy that the 4th biggest network can't get it's software to run on Windows 8.

Overall I really like Windows 8 though, maybe you just need to get used to it. Everything runs fine except for apparently the Windows 7 compatability for programs lol.

I have to say their customer service is top notch. The difference between them and Winner Poker is unreal.

Uijui! Ongame has it's on Zoom now, called Strobe. Only one small NLHE limit right now, but hope they add some more limits and omaha soon.. 5max, which is nice.

I wonder why no one plays speed omaha on ipoker? I guess it would be fun.

Am I correct in that Merge no longer has higher than 3/6 for either NL or PLO, and has no HU PLO at all?

Speaking of iPoker, it had an update yesterday , are people still suffering from the bug with tables from the last session popping up? I'm not (on Win XP, though ; also, touch wood). Instead, Speed poker regs are having more problems now so nah, I won't start a Speed pool until it's sorted out.

That can also be ^^. Yeah the tables popping up -bug has been solved a few weeks ago afaik. So the software works a little bit better now.

It's true that NLHE/PLHE/PLO/PLO8/NLO8 are no longer offered above 3/6 on Merge, as seen from Pokerhost, and it has been reported for Carbon too, but there are 0.25/0.50-1/2 HUPLO tables. The maximum FLHE limit is 30/60, FLO8 - 20/40. I support this change because mid-high stakes didn't run regularly anyway, plus it's good to protect the dying fish pond from losing money too fast at 5/10 PL/NL, plus it's hard to process cashouts of winning regs of these limits.

The recent Merge update has brought more positive news , it fixed rebuy issues plus:

Tables with what properties do you, people, like to start on iPoker to get the most quality fish and deter regs: 6-max or FR; 20-100 bb, 50-100 bb or 100 bb only; turbo or slow; with or without disconnection protection; in dollars, euros or pounds? (It seems that on the MPN FR tables are softer than 6-max for some unknown reason.)

Did you account that I qualify as a fish too? In my FTP experience, genuine fishes buy in mostly for 100 bb at deep tables but good regs cover and own me. At 50-100 bb tables fishes often buy full stacks, though there are some annoying reg shorties too.

A pro is that the Hi/Lo lobby has become much cleaner, but a con is that Hi/Lo is now tougher because of the lack of PLO regs confusing the games (Pro tip: I have different HUD background colours for Hi and Hi/Lo anyway , otherwise they'd be hard to distinguish.)

To me, the biggest iPoker annoyance is the lobby window popping up and hanging every time I'm invited from a waitlist to the table, the second biggest one is non-standard and illogical focus stealing (interrupting making a move) that I've had to switch off altogether (I quasi-tile anyway). And in general, future updates ought to reduce the number of clicks, esp. when opening or closing tables.

The best feature ever The games are already slow as hell (sometimes with 40 hands an hour ), imagine what would happen if masstablers could take a timebank (**** that PLO50 15-tabler who switched from the MPN this February... he's spewy postflop tho ).
