What I don't follow is the apparent conclusion that because iggy ran good against you at 25/50, he is necessarily a losing poker player and that anybody who thinks otherwise has been duped and cheated. This claim, so far, has been pretty poorly defended.
Obviously? If I wanted to breakdown why iggy mcfly is a losing poker player and anyone who thinks otherwise has been duped and cheated I'd open up an online triaiing site and/or charge people for me explaining why he sucks.

Stealthmunk, I never claimed I had an edge on you. I said it might be worth playing another few hundred hands to find out since you have such a bad temper which is a character trait that's usually inversely correlated with poker skill. I also accepted the first offer you made at 10/20 until you said that you wanted me to play 10 hours or 2000 hands which is an awful lot to try to lock myself into against a player who it seems is a decent reg at 25/50. If you want to pay me $160/hr and just start playing and see how it goes, I'll still play you at 10/20.

Heh. I recently cashed out a bunch on Stars to prevent myself from continuing to hemorrhage money in the $100 games. Since then, I've naturally won back a bunch of what I lost and no longer have the desire to put in hands in the $50 games. Now I'm thinking about going back to the $100s but just buying in for $60. I think it'll either be a brilliant idea or my ruination.

yeah I only have several thousand hands but PLO50 seems so much softer n a loose way compared to FTP, where it's TAGGY

I don't care for the software as much and no rakeback but figured the games are just too good . just have to get used to the software

It really depends on the volume you put in. Going by MGR in PTO, I think I've been getting about 33% effective rakeback so far this year; on FTP, I would only get 27%. But, that definitely seems a bit high given that I've played about 60% of my hands at PLO50 and the balance at PLO100, so maybe there's a bit more to it than just going off MGR. However, having to buy bonuses and clear them is incredibly annoying, but makes perfect sense from Stars point of view.

not too much, probably 10-15k hands if I feel like playing that month, I have done as much as 25k hands though

how many hands did u play at PLO50 on there before they started giving u bonuses?

With that amount of play at PLO50, I can't imagine Stars' system being better than FTP's.

You can purchase a bonus as soon as you have enough FPPs, which are derived from VPPs, which in turn derive from the rake, multiplied by the appropriate number depending on your VIP status. For example, as a Supernova, every VPP gives me 3.5 FPPs. From there, there's a variety of bonuses available depending on your VIP status. I tend to go with the $1500 bonus for 100,000 FPPs, but I'll probably start shifting towards the $4000 bonus for 250,000 FPPs when I feel I can.

the problem is that the bonuses pay better the higher your vip level; I have over 100k in FPPs but can't buy good bonuses because I never play at stars consistently enough to get supernova.
