CO: $645.75
BTN: $400.00
Hero (SB): $417.00
BB: $688.10
UTG: $494.80

Pre Flop: ($6.00) Hero is SB with 2 A A Q
4 folds, Hero raises to $12, BB raises to $36, Hero raises to $108, BB calls $72

Flop: ($216.00) 9 4 8 (2 players)
Hero bets $216.00

Is this a pot call 100bb? Villains 3betting range is pretty wide but not insane in this spot.

Is bet $80 / folding terrible? I hate these spots, feel like if you actually hit the flush betting smaller should be better so you might be able to also bet small in these spots. Although it's probably not really balanced since you'll miss the flush more often than not. So a bet/fold strategy could be exploited I guess, however if you throw in a few calls with AAJT/AA84/AA98 etc. it might be fine.

I mean you can certainly bet small with the intention of cramming over his bluffraise.

betting around 60-80 with whole range and folding to shove with these aces. Something more to go like 2pair or oe or something most likely bc.

Also if I was villain and had like top 2 or something I would love to see potsize bet because its like never a flush. Your hand looks exactly what it is

Villain 3bets 17.3% and calls 78% lol
he cbets 75% and generally isn't multi-street bluffy

wtf is he betting? Do we hate a hero call and do we hate a jam?

I mean ive been pot/calling more or less my entire range in these spots. I think betting small opens you up to a ton of floats

I agree with your statement, but I can't find any better alternate lines than stephen's line once he bets.

I guess if villain is tough and will put a ton of pressure on you, checking flop might be good, since "we never have it" when we check back.

The main plus for just calling the raise is villain is more likely to be crushed when he has the betting leading.

Folding is an option, but for every situation where we are in bad shape, I can counter with a situation where we are in good shape.

I would just get it in. Always the chance he has like qq or jj with the flush draw. If we knew he had a really tight 3betting range I could see calling turn and folding rivers unimproved being the play.
