1/2 and 2/4 for me for a while if i can stick to it that is. hadn't played 1/2 since late november so f tilting to have to move back down there. so hard for me to care though atm tbh i really just don't give a **** about poker lately.
Why not take a few weeks off and enjoy the summer. Thats definitely a bad mindset to be playing in.

what's your betsizing?

LOL at not folding a jack, BUT folding 99 or TT.. Hero is never valuebetting or bluffing with a jack here, so Jx=99=TT in this spot. Feel free to disagree.

I think I would bet ~3/5 of the pot

against a total fish bet anything over like 50 bucks atleast. i would never ever check

well i'd be repping a very narrow range. And this guy in particular would not fold a jack here, esp vs a 3/5 pot bet. My bet would solely be to take it down against busted straight n flush draws

If you're playing a good opponent I think the bet is not as clear as people are making it out to be.

It's a pretty tempting spot for a hero call versus someone who has the standardly narrow vbetting range there. Also I wouldn't expect villain to have many Axxx hands that are folding, so KQ is not that much worse than AK in terms of showdown value (but still worse of course).

Don't get me wrong I would bluff myself if I got there with K-high, but I don't really 3-bet junky hands so it's really rare for me to have K-high no pair here. (Since the J or 8 would hit me quite often with my K-high hands, and I'm not normally double-barreling without some kind of solid draw as well).

If you routinely value overpairs here (which is really not standard in my experience although maybe it should be) then your bet is a lot more credible.

overpair would be the easiest value bet of all time since people dont really bluff in this spot when checked to

What's your calling range when raised after v-betting here?

8x+

u really think someone would minraise bluff there for 100bb stacks?

I didn't notice stacks but in any case they obviously should bluff if you're betting overpairs+ and folding overpairs.

I take your point of course but it's still worth thinking about.

Also if we generalize to the more common situation of people who always double-barrel overpairs when bottom or middle pair on the flop pairs, there are definitely good players who will sometimes exploit you there.

flotsamfiend is a class act imo. Most everyone goes off and bitches at times as plo regs. For those that dont, I find it incredibly impressive and admirable (ie PBJaxx, Mcballa, 011880, couple others). But for the most part, people are gonna go nuts at times. Usually it means they are tilting and you can take advantage (at least this is the case with me when im tooling out.....or is it?). Dpred, Ill raise your run bad with mine during the first day of July. Im happy with it tho.
