Stringa Bell as Bond would work so well, great idea. I guess the only real question that remains is top 5 bond films?

I could easily consider Thunderball or FRWL in my top 5 too, it's so close among the top 7-8 bond movies, after that there IS a considerable drop off in quality. I'm somewhat shocked Casino Royale scored so high.

I'm somewhat shocked You Only Live Twice made your top 5 list. What on earth is there to like about that movie?

Pro's post is part of why the poker is ridiculous. But I just think Craig looks like a twit in that movie and that scene in particular. I'm giving them a pass for how ridiculous the whole poker part is....which is pretty forgiving I think. But really, everything about that really long and overly drawn out scene was pretty cringe worthy. What was supposed to be drama and I guess gripping was more like "is it over yet? This is boring. And why is Craig acting like a weirdo instead of like, Ummm, Bond?"

I have no comment on QoS as I haven't seen the whole film. Just not much interest after watching CR I guess. I know others who generally like Bond films or consider themselves fans who feel the same.

QoS was so bad I turned it off like 20 minutes in because it was so boring and awful.

granted this is a poker focused site, so the hate for the scene is appropriate, but it wasn't meant to be directed at this community. It was the hottest game in town so supplanted bacarrat for the leChiffe confrontation. leave it alone guys.

I would say the odds of that hand playing out the way it did are equal to the odds of anything else in that movie happening.

Cres, I believe I would hate that stupid poker stuff and the acting in it if I knew nothing about poker at all.

I tried to imagine Orson Welles and Peter Sellers in the scene myself. That spoof, including Welles need to inject magic, was infinitely more enjoyable in the casino.

how ***** hard can it be to phone up ivey and have Bond call him off with ace high. Iv seen it done right in various tv shows. In lie to me the lead calls someguy off with Jhi. This was completly ridicilous. And not in a good way.

BTW the latest mission impossible was more bond then the Quantum of solace imo. If you change some of the audio (like everytime he is called ethan hunt you change it to james bond) then it was more believable as a bond movie then QoS

From Russia With Love, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, and Casino Royale are easily the best three films, IMO. After that there's a second tier that's like The Spy Who Loved Me, Living Daylights, Goldfinger, Goldeneye, and Live and Let Die.

Depends on the hand. If he put him on a 6789T straight draw or something it's not that ridiculous.
