Stephen Kong is an ok author read a lot of him as a kid not much as an adult. They all kinda sucked in retrospect other than Different Seasons. They more-or-less all use the supernatural in a way that imo is pretty lame. Misery and The Shining were the two others I liked best when I read them.

I read the first dark tower in jail, I’d say it was one of his stronger works, kinda a Clint Eastwood Western feel to it, but lost interest when I started the second. For some reason the dark tower movie I watched in jail contained basically zero of the first book in it.
