I feel this way too, however I had some pancakes recently that just really got me good, so, I’m more interested at this time than I have been in forever.

Crusty french bread from the grocery store, eggs, cinnamon/nutmeg/vanilla, chopped candied walnuts/pecans topping. Pretty simple, completely tasty.

There might have been a little (A splash? Maybe a gloop?), but I wasn't present during it's preparation.

I don't usually use milk in my french toast, but the wife does. So I'm going with yes, some milk.

the tortilla is the one thing I screwed up. my timing was off and I left them in the pan a little too long waiting for the tots to finish. they weren’t burnt, just a little chewy. guess I’ll just have to try again tomorrow morning since I still have all the ingredients.

Scotchy Scotch eggs. Took some soft boiled eggs and marinated ~ 80 hrs in beet juice, Ardbeg, and salt. Same idea as ramen eggs. Ground pork layer around the egg, breaded, and fried.





These were good, will play around with it some more. The ground pork layer is traditional but I don't think it's ideal. I've had better Scotch eggs with other things like ground venison. Thinking about a Wellingtonesque situation with some kinda cured meat and duxelles around the egg.

I went a little hard on the Ardbeg (Uiggggggeaddddeaiilll) in v1.0, will back it off next time, but the peat adds a good flavor element. I'm sure anything peaty like Laphroaig/Lagavulin/etc. would be pretty close, whatever you prefer- I'm an Ardbeg guy.

I think peaty Scotch is great for savory stuff and cocktails in general. So much better than liquid smoke or things like that.
