So we landed on the moon in 1969 and 40 years later we find water there. Solid progress Nasa

Yeah, but the moon doesn't have an atmosphere on the surface which means the water is coming from under the surface where there is, incredibly, an atmosphere.

Do you even know anything about the dark side of the moon? There's like, not a lot we know about it, for obvious reasons.

Yeah, we should preserve the delicate ecosystem of a giant rock floating in space.

I think it's pretty obvious that there's life somewhere out there

Oh wow, what a surprise, someone from Boston that thinks there isn't intelligent life anywhere else in the universe.

don't jerk me around, norm, it's a simple question - would you drink the moon if it was made of water

I can't think of anything more obvious that we don't actually have proof of.

I am an avid watcher of The Universe on the History Channel. I've learned that the most accepted theory of how the Moon came to be was a small planet sized body crashed into the Earth in the early stages of it's formation. The debris from that collision flew into space and began orbiting the Earth and coalesced into what is the now the Moon.

During the collision, almost all of the iron sank to the center of the Earth while the Moon got almost none. The molten iron that is moving around in the center of the Earth is the reason we have a magnetic field, which protects us from harmful radiation and allows us to have an atmosphere. The Moon and the Earth are made of pretty much the same stuff.

I always thought it was obvious that there are other intelligent lifeforms out there. I would be surprised if there werent a lot that were much more advanced, smarter than our own.

Great show.

Amy Mainzer is fine. She may not be a 10 but something about the combo of her looks and intelligence makes me want to do naughty things to her.

I think it's equally obvious that there are many other (intelligent?) lifeforms out there as it is that there are none.
