You're really that interested in going from 130 to 150wpm? lol. I doubt anyone cares enough to prop bet against that but maybe you can make some $ off a degen who thinks it's exciting.

I wouldn't have the time over the next little while (graduating from music school, traveling for gigs for 3 months and then getting married in August), but I think it would be an interesting challenge given the right circumstances. No, I don't care about improving my typing speed to the point where it would take 100+hours away from the things I need and like to do on a daily basis - that is the whole point of a prop bet:P

Wiki:

Quote:
In one study of average computer users, the average rate for transcription was 33 words per minute, and only 19 words per minute for composition.

An average professional typist reaches 50 to 70 wpm, while some positions can require 80 to 95 (usually the minimum required for dispatch positions and other time-sensitive typing jobs), and some advanced typists work at speeds above 120.

The average human being hand-writes at 31 words per minute for memorized text and 22 words per minute while copying.
Using stenography (shorthand) methods, this rate increases greatly. Handwriting speeds of up to 282 wpm have been achieved in shorthand competitions

The fastest typing speed ever, 216 words per minute, was achieved by Stella Pajunas-Garnand from Chicago in 1946 in one minute on an IBM electric.

I just can't even fathom typing 30 wpm. So glad keyboarding was a required 6th grade class.

I finally got 105. Being as I have no chance of beating half the board, I'll just stop there.

got 107 WPM on the typing test with 100% accuracy, if I was a native speaker of English I think I might have more. Or if I actually listened to my computer teacher and fixed my hand placement on my keyboard, doubt I could go a lot faster than this with the ******-way I have of typing.

Have been kind of obsessed with this dumb game (avg speed over 352 races: 89wpm). If you really want to truly feel and experience tilt, try this version:

Make one mistake and you are insta DQ'd.

108 with 100% accuracy but it's a pretty rubbish typing test. I got 120 or so and had to verify I could actually type that and was given a convoluted captcha to rewrite, didn't make 120 so it told me to gtfo.

This is pretty sweet

My average seems to be more around 60 wpm; my best run was at 70 wpm.

i feel like the 100% accuracy one gives easier passages. I just cruised at 122wpm and that is usually my high end on the regulars.

Depressing to see how I've slowed down over the years.
