Oil (though I choose not to), air filters, and washer fluid seem like about the only things a regular person can maintain on cars any more.

Im not a car guy at all but ive changed my headlights like 6 months ago and have tail lights i just ordered yesterday on the way to change in the next few days. I feel like with Youtube you can find how to do anything, plus im cheap with certain things and rather do it myself if i can.

This right here. I've never changed my own oil, but I'm confident I could do it if needed. If the internet fails, there are also books. Plenty of you don't know how to fix software issues that I do, but you could obviously learn.

Yesterday, right after dusk, I jumped a car with my jeep in the wind and pouring rain. I felt pretty manly with my dirty work boots, worn jeans, and rain soaked hoodie leaning under the hood. You can't take that away from me.
