Never thought state lines meant anything to PHI. I work health-care adjacent and deal with a lot of HIPAA BS^WRegs. Our customers are scattered across the US. The data definitely doesn't respect state boundaries.

Wondering if that's a CA thang? They do have more better laws then most. Or a misinterpretation of US law by the Dr's office?
