in yankee stadium a 12 ounce beer is like 11 or 12 bucks
when i go to any other teams park ill pay the 4-5 bucks for a beer, i also go out to bars a lot
but they can smd for a 12 dollar beer

when its still cold out and im wearing a lot of clothes i will usually go to the bodega buy 4 beers and sneak them in
the stay cold bc of the weather and ive only been caught once

ten mins before the game i went thru securty, went to scan my ticket and it wasnt working so they sent me to another line, where i went thru securiry again and it still wouldnt scan
they sent me all the way around the stadium to go to customer service and have a new one printed
by the time i did that it was already the second inning and the entrances were pretty empty so they actually took the time to search me
the guy found my beer and said to his friend "do you beluieve this mother ****er actually thought he could get in with these?"

I don't imagine anyone sneaking beer in for $1 beer night is drinking out of bottles. These have to be cans.

The cheapest canned 12oz (355ml) beers are in the neighborhood of $0.75 USD if you buy in bulk.

I was totally shocked at how expensive beer was in Australia. You'd think a nation of drinkers like that would revolt.

Even $0.75 for beer in the can seems expensive for the crappiest stuff. It's been a while since I've even looked at it, but I thought it was closer to $0.50.

I've been home brewing though, and cost for that is about 40 cents a bottle and quality is pretty good, only a little bit of time, can't beat that!

24 cans of probably Australia's best known Cheap beer, Victoria Bitter, will set you back $44 AUD at the CHEAPEST place near my house. If you go to a pub rather than a bottle shop, or even 20 minutes out of the city, you would be paying $50

Any "decent" beer costs around $50-55 for 24 bottles/cans.

For a frame of reference how much is a Gallon or Liter of gasoline and how much is your standard volume unit of milk?

petrol/gasoline prices fluctuate wildly here, and are also subject to an excise which raises the cost, but it is currently around $1.50 AUD per litre here. A few months ago it was around $1.20 and in the past couple of years has been as high as $1.80.

so at current prices and exchange rate, we are paying approximately $6 USD per gallon.

If you buy milk in a 3 litre plastic bottle you will pay between $3 and $4 AUD, and slightly more if you buy smaller quantities.
