That third token makes such a big difference.

In the league I was happy hitting 120-130 words.
Playing randoms I just went 150 & 160 back to back.

Finally at a point that I can efficiently use freeze-vision (or freeze-freeze-vision) instead of inspiration.
I think vision is understated. I use it with 15-20 seconds left and it usually gives me two words I definitely wouldn't have gotten and sometimes a stem on two to work on, and the 15 seconds is clutch as some freezes are less time.

The most common vision word for me is 'aero', at least I think that's it.

Surprised a third token would matter that much, i guess it matters a lot on boards that have tons of action. You coming back next season Icy? Looks like we going to have a lot of new players, already 7 have contacted me.

I think it's worth mentioning every season in the email that goes our that there's a 2 token maximum so newer players are reminded.

Sorry, can't take screenshots so I have to hold off playing round 3s until I can make sure results are entered. My opponents have graciously taken care of this diligently so far so I'll be free to finish a few games tonight/tomorrow.

Also if anyone knows how to take a screenshot on a Samsung Vibrant, let me know. I've done it by accident and googled how to do it but it gives conflicting advice and none of it I've been able to make work anyway.

And in 3 weeks you're all going down. I'll be getting a new phone and freezes will hopefully not cost me precious seconds nearly every game and worse on occasion.

cant you just email yourself the results one by one, or isn't there a place to take notes somewhere on your phone? Anyway it doesn't matter, I guarantee you I will be entering the result no matter what, you really don't have to worry about this in Group 1, everyone here is pretty diligent and is very unlikely to forget their result

Good news for me is I had a monster Round 2 against Primetime so will either win 4-1 or 5-0 barring the biggest choke in scramble history. I better win the league this season, because I'm not sure when I'll ever get a chance this good again unless I get a little better. Feel like I'm still a bit behind a few guys and just got really lucky this time.

What are people putting up in Group 4? I am clearly worse than you guys and only get like 60-100 words per round. Would I have any fighting chance of scraping through the lowest bracket?

I made a new sheet in the league spreadsheet - "League History." It lets you see the results of previous seasons all in one place.

Cool! Do you mind keeping that updated? Also any chance to have the most recent seasons on the left? I only say that because season 10 will happen at some point not that far from now, and probably people will be more likely to want to see the most recent season's results than the one's from 5 months previous. Also I'd be happy to give you rights to edit any pages on the site you want. Do you want me to invite your email or whatever I have to do for that to happen?

Also this league is about to get crazy next season. We have like 10 people contacting me who want to join, one who will be an instant contender in Group 1 once he qualifies, and a few others who I think can do quite well in Group 2.

The more the merrier. I do think if we exceed 50 people that it will make sense to have parallel groups at the bottom level or two. Letting the groups get too big is a bigger burden on players in terms of games per season (since some have trouble keeping up as is). Let me know if you want help organizing.

I was intending to just have more groups. I don't want them to ever exceed 10 players. Basically will always be 8-10 players.

If there are tons of groups, I figure we will allow for a double promotion for anyone who achieves more than 90% in their group. That should ensure that people who are started out too low will move up very quickly. Only exceptions would be you can't do this to get into the top 2 groups. I don't think it'll be an issue to have 8-10 groups honestly, and I think I'm getting a lot better at placements now that I am forcing new players to play me once.

Problem is if we do parallel groups at the bottom, there are always going to remain people who have absolutely no chance to win their group, which I want to avoid.

Oh also how do I make it so you can edit the entire spreadsheet?
