Thanks for the suggestions. I almost picked Low End Theory and 3 Feet High and Rising in the first year. I'm sure they will make it in my HOF soon. I don't know Kendrick Lamar well enough to compare his albums to other classics, so I will have to listen to him more.

All 3 of these are good suggestions, but I don't listen to them very often. I will give them some more chances.

I would leave out Kendrick only because I think to be a classic it has to have been out at least 10 years.

Good choices so far. Fairly predictable/conventional, but there's a reason the classics are the classics.
I listened to Madvillainy for the first time yesterday based on your recommendation. I liked it, and I'm sure I will appreciate it more after listening to it more times. I know many of the songs on the other albums you mentioned, but I don't know them as full albums too well. Thanks.

Solid lists imo. Would have to find room also for Cuban Linx, Ironman and Supreme Clientele personally.

I've been immersed with Kendrick lately ...obviously started with GKMC which is a masterpiece..( it took me a bunch of listens to understand it all , being from NY and not up on the West coast lingo etc ) then went back and found section 8.0 and songs like " rigamortus" blew me away with his talent so early in his career and then went back and found Overly Dedicated and the skill set he shows on "ignorance is bliss" "barbed wire " is insane !

I was wondering if anyone can recommend any other obscure tracks from Kendrick that aren't well known or on albums that you guys find to be your favorite kdot tracks .. Thanks in advance

Obviously when talking Kendrick you got to listen to Control. Its not any any of his releases so unless you were active in hip hop trends at the time you wouodnt have heard it i reckon.

Ya, I'm up on control and I love the way he ends that track .. You can tell he was influenced by Eminem with the word play and metaphors... I was looking for freestyle tracks, features or personal favorites that aren't too well known

Check out kdot c4 mixtape. He records over lil Wayne's c3 beats.

Turn me up some and illuminate with him and ab soul are great. Also kendricks outro from ab souls these days.
