I thought The Hurt Locker was a repetitive bore for the first 3/4 then just started to get interesting when it ended. Bigelow always has a few cool scenes but the whole thing was silly. And as much as I love Rian Johnson and Brick, The Brothers Bloom was a big disappointment.

Wow joker that really surprises me. I really thought the Hurt Locker was brilliant film making. "A bore" is the last words I would ever use to describe it.

As for Bloom I can see why it might be a disappointment. I guess since Brink I have pledged my undying love for Johnson so I may be overselling Bloom.

500 Days would be my #6.

I really hated Duplicity. I wonder if I missed something? Perhaps I need to see it again given that you seem to have great taste in movies.

Up was genius for 30 minutes then a boring silly adventure tale. However, my opinion on animation should be taken lightly as it is my least favorite movie genre by far.

yeah it was just bad enough to make it painfull to watch instead of funny, just long enough to want to leave the theater. , but not long enough to actually do it.

It is the single worst movie I have ever seen, hands down, it's not close. And I have seen ALOT of movies, more than 99% of the population.

edit: to be clear I am referring to Transformer 2 and not IB obviously.

Ok guys, I know I'm in the minority here... but I just didn't like it at all.

Maybe I expected too much after all the great reviews I was hearing. Am I totally missing something here? I've loved all of QT's other films

totally agree. worst movie I've ever seen (transformers 2)

And to get back on topic, I really enjoyed IB. It brought a smile to my face. As I was watching, I was thinking "Jeez, I hope this movie isn't historically accurate and let Hitler, et al, get away, cause that would suck."

It did not disappoint.

What, are you dumb. Transformers 2 was hardly a modern classic but its not even the worst film that came out the week it was released. In fact its well above average.

You clearly have not seen a lot of movies.

Diehl reminds me of Ziigmund for some reason.

If there was any way to settle it I would bet you pretty much any amount that I have seen more films than you. Yes, Tran2 is the worst I have ever seen.

Hot indeed, but the gravity of the movie's sh*tyness was so massive that it even engulfed her hotness.

I'm not sure what this qualifies you to do but it's the second time in your last few posts you've mentioned it so it must be very important to you.

In the Top 20 the same week Trans 2 was released:

Year One
Land of the Lost
X-Men Origins: Wolverine
Angels and Demons

All pretty bad big budget films. Worse than Trans 2? I'm not sure but these are some pretty good contenders and I've only looked at that the same week of release as Trans 2.

Without ever having seen Transformers 2 (and I acknowledge that it's probably horrible) I can confidently say it's definitely not the worst thing ever put to film.

I mean if I've only ever seen Transformers 2 and Superbabies: Baby Geniuses then Transformers 2 only ranks as the second worst movie I've ever seen.

I thought the movie was kinda boring and really long. Had some good parts but overall if I would have known the length i would have waited for dvd. To say it is one of the best movies of the year is a stretch let alone all time.

"4) why would he take a random SS officer with him to the US who knows all his lies and betrayal unless he has a close relationship."

It was done so that the guy could be killed. Just a setup.

I've read about half of the thread, so I apologize if this was covered...

The strudel scene - Landa orders Shoshana (or whatever her name is) a MILK - did anyone else pick up on this? I don't think there is anyway that Landa could have known the girl was the one who got away from the house in the opening scene. She was all dirty and much younger looking, plus Landa never saw her face.

About three people close to me in the theater squirmed when he ordered her milk with the strudel. I spent the rest of the scene going "Impossible that he knows...but he knows EVERYTHING!!!...no way he knows...".

Anyone else pick up on this?

Hey genius. How about you read the thread before you offer your worthless opinion! He claimed I had not seen very many movies which is ridiculous. I know more about film than either you are the other poster who questioned my credentials. It's simple fact.

And yes Tran 2 is far worse than superbabies.

don't be too harsh on him.

obviously landa didn't recognise her and know who she was. but do we really know that for certain? ie. he could have known who she was and what she was intending, or may have at least suspected something, but let her go ahead with her plans for the same reasons he let the Basterds complete operation Kino.

I don't believe this to be true, I'm just playing the devil's advocate and saying that we don't necessarily know for sure.
