I usually don't, except one time where I was at a McDonald's in Boston which charged .25 cents to use the bathroom at their facility. I thought it was pretty ridiculous IMO.

That sign would annoy me enough that I would hold down a soda tap or two the entire time I was filling my water cup with water.

I was at Wendy's last night when an older couple came in behind me. While the wife was ordering (plain baked potato LOL), the presumable husband held up a Wendy's cup and said it was a senior soda from earlier in the day and he wanted a refill. It may have been me overthinking it, but the guy's expression suggested that he was a 50/50 mix of sheepish and prepared to defend whatever argument the cashier might have.

Cashier gave a mild WTF look at him, and then didn't say anything else. (It was self serve soda, so cashier wasn't obligated to take any soda-related actions. I think the reaction may have been more extreme if the cashier were the one who had to fill it up.)

Long story short: I came face to face with future Nick.

All,

Went to super duper last week. Ordered a burger, fries, and beer. Got a water glass (they give same glass for water or soda) and filled it up with soda water and lemons!

I imagine there is going to be a life nit that ends up suing an establishment over his diabetes cause they didn't do enough to keep him from filling his water glass with high calorie soda.

("They had it at the same fountain, man! They shoulda known!")

The lemons are for diet coke. I thought you were above this.

When keeping it real goes wrong.

He’s accused of attempting to take off anyway, though, and allegedly struck one of the employees while driving in reverse. That employee then attempted to remove the keys from the ignition of the car, according to the report, at which point he was allegedly struck by the suspect.

“The theft became a robbery when the alleged suspect allegedly used force to resist apprehension by the store employees,” explained authorities, who noted that Arkansas law does not prevent from workers from attempting to detain criminal suspects.

Banned,

Will be so great if this idiot gets a felony conviction off this. Well, probably not really great, but whatever.

In reading the article, I can't decide who the bigger idiot is, the manager or the soda thief? Dude has enormous balls, tho.

I can only see an independent owner doing this, as he is literally seeing profits. Other managers would maybe say something, but no where near risking an encounter with a crazy.

I like it.
