i just watched some videos of people trying this and I'm a lot less confident now. There was one of a decently big guy who was puking, bleh. He finished in half an hour but it doesn't look fun or easy.

Reading comprehension ftl. Drinking a gallon of water is laughably easy, not milk. I've tried milk before, and could only get 3/4 of the way, but I think I could do it now. Certainly wouldn't be easy.

Is this a diet thing or have you always been like this? That's an impressive amount. Back in high school, I had a data entryish job where to take breaks I'd get up every ~20-30 minutes or so and have a cup of water, and I think even that only got me up to somewhere between 1-1.5 gallons. I can't really imagine drinking much more water than that.

Also, if you die from drinking a gallon of water in an hour, don't worry, you probably weren't going to last long in this world anyway.

Well I'm assuming that he's not singling me out for saying the water prop is easy, so he must be talking about drinking a gallon of milk. But saying I'm "fairly confident" about something doesn't translate to that also being "laughably easy". Perhaps I could have worded it better.

He wasn't saying that you said it was laughably easy, he was just trying to get you to take the bet.

Gallon of water is so easy. I've done this so many times without even trying to win a bet. If you are worried about water intoxication, work out for an hour before hand.

Hell, even a gallon of beer is not that hard in 1 hour.

KDND 107.9 "The End" radio station's "Hold Your Wee for a Wii" contest, involved drinking large quantities of water without urinating. A nurse actually called the radio station to warn them about the danger in which they were putting people, but the disc jockeys were less than impressed. Lucy Davidson, the winner of the contest, was severely sickened while picking up her prize. Civil charges against the radio station were filed by Jennifer's family,[22] and the family was eventually awarded $16.5 million in the ensuing wrongful death lawsuit.[23]

I once drank a gallon of water in less than an hour because I thought it would help me avoid waking up in the morning with a severe hangover.

I was right, but I also threw it all back up before I went to bed.

Now, milk is difficult. I don't know how many times I've been around people trying the 4 litre challenge. Terrible, terrible decision.

I've always had a lot of water, it's increased exponentially since the diet began. I seriously drink an absolutely absurd amount of water these days. It has totally thrown off my office's water-cooler bottle delivery schedule.

As much as I want to say how difficult it is I nearly drank two and a half 40's of beer in an hour before which is 100 oz so when I think about it that way it don't seem too bad and if it was on a 120 degree day in Vegas or Phoenix it seems much easier.

What makes milk difficult? I have chugged a litre carton of it in one just drinking it normally. I fail to see how 4.5 litre of it in an hour would be difficult, but i guess i could be missing something.

Seriously? This is like saying "I eat 4 pieces of pizza without a problem, how hard could 16 pieces be?"
