At first, I didn't think I should post these since some computer geeks will consider them common sense. But I've always been surprised how they elude less frequent computer users, so screw it:
-The CTRL key is your friend. Instead of dragging your mouse and clicking icons on Word, you can click CTRL in tandem with other buttons for fast results. The seconds you save in doing this add up quickly.
Here's a list of CTRL functions. Learn them, use them, love them.
-Use quote marks ("") on Google or other search engines to get more accurate results. Quote marks tell the engine to search for the exact words you type and not just one or two words.
-Some people think their computers will work just as fast with 1 window open as they can with 100. This is false, I don't care what anyone told you. True, you can have a good number of programs and windows open without a problem, but at some point things will slow down and work less efficiently, as the system is overworked. So don't have too many programs on at once.
