I don't think a sick beat means what you think it means. Its not like you got your AA aipf and lost to 27o. You failed to complete a simple requirement of the rental agreement.

I completely understand. Why would you want a rational and logical person to affirm your position?

Thank you for using poker terminology as it's the only way I can understand situtations. Nice hand, I guess I'm trying to say.

Now that I think about it, on my last car, a '93 Lexus, there was a clearly labeled lever right under the dash to the left of the steering wheel that opened the fuel tank. On the car I've had for the past 6 years though, an Audi A4, you just open it from the outside.

I have never driven a car that the gas tank couldn't be opened from outside. This is a strange and baffling new world for me.

99 bmw...openable from outside, but locks if the car is locked. 89 Acura Legend was a lever inside.

that makes a lot of sense to me. having a lid that you can open from the outside even when the car is locked just seems kind of weird to me.

The last two times I've rented a car, neither had the owner's manual in the vehicle. And both times I needed it. Why they think it's a good idea to give someone a strange car without also including a manual on how to operate it is at least as stupid as PHB.

I drove a rental car in Belfast last year and had a similar experience. I searched the car for like 5 minutes for a button or lever and couldn't find anything. I was absolutely losing my ****, when for fun I went out and pushed on the flap, it depressed and then opened up like some entryless alien ship. i'll be damned

Yeah, how did our society make it all these years with tanks accessible from the outside? That is so weird of us.

I honestly can't remember if I looked for the manual or not. I may have, and it may not have been there. Or, it wasn't in the glove box and was under the rear passenger-side seat or somewhere I would have never thought to look. It doesn't at all surprise me that a rental car wouldn't have the manual in it though.

If you locked your remote opening car keys in your car, use your cell phone to call whoever has a second set. If they hit "open" on this set through their cell phone and you point your cell phone at the car, it may open (depending on strength of signal and whatnot.)

If you're in an emergency situation where you need a condom for sexual purposes but don't have any, the best replacement is using a latex or rubber glove. If she's drunk enough she won't know the difference, and despite the large girth of latex gloves, they tend to stay on just fine. If she brings it up, claim that it is a French tickler and hope she's none the wiser.
My best tip is that when using internet browsers, you can copy and edit URLs to generate particular outcomes that you want.

For example, having read the above post, you're obviously going to want to add 'WhiteGoose' to your ignore list, which you can do by clicking here:

When I hover over "Yes" it says "kerowo's Avatar". This all seems a little fishy to me.

Has anybody ever had brain freeze that lasted more than 60 seconds?

That would make me want to jump off a tall building.

this.
It reminded me that if you have a cold and every day you take daytime cold medicine, nighttime cold medicine, 1000mg of vitamin C, drink a gallon of water, put vicks vapo rub on all day, eat three roots of ginger, sleep 8 hours at night at take a two hour nap each afternoon, then your cold will be gone in 7 days.
If you do nothing it will take a week.

I get brain freezes that last a while. Will try it next time it happens.

BTW, to avoid brain freezes altogether, just keep cold stuff away from the roof of your mouth.

If your work computer has web site monitoring or blocking (most do) get a cheap laptop, a KVM switch, and a cellular air card modem. Hook up the KVM and put the laptop in a desk drawer. Hit Scroll Lock twice and you'll be using the same keyboard, video display, and mouse, but you'll be connected to your own computer with your own Internet connection, and you can surf wherever, you can access pr0n or even play poker at work. Unless someone looks over your shoulder and sees something on your screen you are free as a bird, assuming you get your work done.
