If you want fresh fries, ask for them with no salt.

Ask someone a direct question if you want the truth. If they deflect the question, they're guilty/lying. If they flat out deny, they're probably telling the truth.

No problem, at 2p2 we're used to ignorant idiots not being able to defend/explain obviously horrid advice and blatant misinformation.

By purchasing *any* insurance product like you mention, you are paying two layers of fees:
1) the insurance wrapper/annuity markup
2) the underlying mgr fee on the actual investments

You can simply replicate whatever mix you want without paying for [1]. So if you want something ultra-conservative in your retirement fund [why would you but okay] you can just use 40% MMFs, 40% bonds, and 20% equity exposure, for example. Adjust to suit.

e.g. at the 401[k] plan I supervise, you can buy a balanced fund, have the software organize a fund selection as per your risk tolerance, or simply pick the VG, Pimco, American Funds you desire, avoids any 2nd layer of fees -- and we get a lower rate on expenses + rebate [which by law goes to reduce expenses on the plan for everyone]

It's funny how Dog Boy's tips were an unfunny cliche - and a wrong one, at that - blatant paranoia, and a completely worthless piece of investment advice. Well played!

Take your chaser and put some in your mouth. Then, while holding the chaser in your mouth, take the shot and drink it all down at once. Follow up quickly again with your chaser after swallowing and the taste/sting is drastically reduced. This works especially well for those who don't like shots or if you have particularly foul tasting liquor. It is almost like making a mixed drink in your mouth, but with the efficiency of shots!
This is totally standard.

LOL. These things are good deal if you are selling them, and that's about it. I'd love to see the proof. Post it in BFI, I'm sure it will go over well.

OOT life trick: Don't invest in individual stocks. You don't have the capability to do so and be +EV.

I agree with this tip, but there is something you can do to spare your own lithium ion batteries! The amount of capacity they lose per year is dependent upon two variables: temperature and % charged.

A fully charged battery in a warm/hot environment will lose a significant amount of capacity/year, and a 30-40% charged battery kept cold will only lose 2%-3% per year.

If I know I'm not going to be taking my laptop anywhere for a while, I run its battery down to 40% and store it in the fridge. Lower is better, but you don't want to take too low; you don't want static discharge bringing it completely to 0%.

my dad sells a lot of life insurance policies and those index annuities to the elderly who want to make sure they leave something for their families. its something like whatever amount they put in it, they get a 10% instant bonus, and are guaranteed to get 2% or whatever the market is minus 2%, whichever is higher each year. it gives them an income along with their social security checks each month to live on and they can then leave the money they put into the annuity for their families. so depending on what your priorities are and how risk adverse you are, it can be a good product.

You can get packets of salt while going through the drive-thru.

I don't know if this is standard or not, but between Netflix and having a 3 year old I'm using it all the time.

If a DVD or CD has skips or pauses, take a small amount of toothpaste use it to 'clean' the playing surface. It acts as a mild abrasive and smooths the scratches.

In my experience that is about a 90-95% lock that you sleep with her that night. Girls that say that generally do so because they have done that before and they want to assuage their guilt by making it seem like they didn't want it. They are almost trying to convince themselves.

Wow that looks exactly like something from this hole in the wall place in the middle of nowhere my friends and I used to drive 45 minutes to get to.

It was called the "hot hamburger" and it was a couple pieces of texas toast at the bottom, burger patty, covered in fries all covered in gravy, soooo good...

I wonder why I'm so fat...

Edit: LOLOL I just GIS it and it's from that exact place

I do agree that adding salt right after the fries come out of the fryer is best.

White Castle sucks without the mustard. I even use it on the chicken/fish sandwiches and the fries. I like getting the cheese fries and mixing the mustard in the cheese. mmmmmmm

Well perhaps you ought to learn to read. Talk about your ignorant idiots....

I was not suggesting a variable annuities. With a Fixed Indexed Annuity there is no wrapper markup and no underlying fees.

Unlike the 401k plan you supervise, owners of fixed indexed annuities lost no money in the market when it tanked last year.

Obviously, you're opinion about this is uninformed and ignorant. Just because the wires like to wrap fia's doesn't mean they are all sold that way.
