Also if a cop pulls you over, do not, I repeat DO NOT keep masturbating. If you do though, orgasm right when the cop arrives at your window. Some may let you go out of disgust.

Wow, I made it all the way to the end.

re: Gas station tips

Don't prop something in there in place of the auto-stop device. Your thing is not designed to auto-stop.

Do swipe card before removing gas cap, and press grade select button before removing nozzle.

New tip:

Do put your hand on the door post as you exit, but before you break contact with the seat, and you will not have any static electricity to discharge. If you have leather seats, you may not need to do this.

i like blasting AC when im driving if im tired. for those worried about alertness, i think when most people are tired and driving (at least in my case) its in the middle of the night and there arent a lot of cars on the road. im also on a highway and not much is gonna happen outside of a deer jumping in front of me which means im effed anyway.

also, the best tip itt is definitely the opposite rear window one to prevent too much wind in the face.

This technique minimizes the time spent at the gas station. As discussed way early on in the thread, doing multiple activities in parallel saves lots of time. While the machine is authorizing the credit card, you are removing the gas cap. While the machine is resetting to $0.00, you are inserting the nozzle. In this case it only saves maybe 10 seconds per fill-up, but applied generally, it can make life less hectic.

When it's warm out, bring a cooler to the grocery store with cold packs or orange juice cartons filled with ice from your grandfather's freezer. It keeps the perishables from perishing while you run your other errands.

I would say doing multiple activities in parallel makes life more hectic.

I can handle the hectic. I am into the time savings. I figure I've gassed up 3000 times @ 10 seconds savings per, I've got 500 minutes or nearly 9 hours of time to spend doing something else.
Like doing math to see how much time I am saving.

yeah this is ******ed. the flow stops, not the thing propping the handle up.

by this reasoning everyone pumping gas without using an autostop device would be overflowing their tank because their hand is holding the flow open

Loden's contributions have been pretty bad, if I worried about the stuff he did I would have a worse life I'm sure. Bringing a cooler to the grocery store so you can continue to run others errands when loading an empyting a cooler full of ice is a huge hassle is definitely not an OOT life trick.

afaik the cooler with cold packs is semi-standard with many asians/asian americans, who buy more fish, specifically, which gets nastier faster when it's warm than other groceries.

I do this when its super hot outside. Meat, esp poultry and fish, spoil super fast in hot temps. I dont take my own ice packs though, I just load up on my frozen veg/juice/etc at the same time and put them all in the cooler together.

But you are not doing multiple activities in parallel, you are just doing the same number of things in optimal order.

ever send a text message to the first name in your contacts list rather than your girlfriend?
Or even if you haven't, do you ever get sick of the few extra keystrokes it takes to get to the person's name that you text 20 times a day?
Then put 01 in front of their name and they're automatically at the top of your contacts list

If you're on a date with a girl at a bar or restaurant and wanna know if she's comfortable with you then put your drink right next to hers. The personal space of her drink is an extension of her personal space and if she leaves it there then it's a good sign that she's comfortable. If she moves it away instantly then I wouldn't go in for the first kiss just yet

I always add a contact for "AAAAAA" in my phone with an incomplete or bogus number. That way I mostly avoid accidentally calling or texting anyone.
