Bobbo,

You're single again, right?

Tyler,

As I have said already, I am not dieting. Try to keep up old chap.

So, you're going to do the big change over? Wait until you find that you have to keep cutting calories each year just to maintain, lol. I'm going to need to do the lifestyle change now that I'm going into my late sixties and I'm not looking forward to not being able to eat anything I want.

darkside,

Wait -- you're saying it's shocking that a country where the men are on average 3 inches taller, and live 2 years longer, have been commonly eating healthier foods for a long period of time? =( "No one ever went broke underestimating the taste of the american public."

Bob,

LOL at amazin turning down sex from a woman simply because she's obese. I could see it being a deal breaker to him that she's a bloodmouth, but I'd bet he'd write that off against the fact that she swallows.

The correct way to prepare kale is with a lot of pork.
You stew it with pork cheek or speck, bacon will do fine too.throw in some kassler and smoked sausages season with salt, pepper some sugar and mustard. Serve it with potatoes. ****ing delicious

I think it just comes down to activity levels more than anything.

I was living in Omaha and moved to Lyon, France and it's ridiculous how many more thin women there are here. The ratio is probably 20:1. And it's not like the French are eating veggies every meal, they love their wine, cheese, pastries, and breads, but people are walking constantly, biking, carrying groceries a couple blocks, and that's the main difference.

American sedentary, car lifestyle isn't conducive to good health. There are some people who have the discipline to offset the lack of activity by making carefully portioned, healthy (bland tasting for many) meals, but at the end of the day, most people are just gonna eat good-tasting high calorie foods.

I think the biggest difference is portion size, you simply don't find soda containers as big as in USA#1 in Europe

Quote:
Researchers weighed portions at 11 similar eateries in Paris and Philadelphia -- fast-food outlets, pizzerias, ice cream parlors, and ethnic restaurants.

- The average portion size in Paris was 25% smaller than in Philly.
- Chinese restaurants in Philly served meals that were 72% bigger than Parisian Chinese restaurants.

They looked at foods sold in supermarkets:

- A candy bar in Philadelphia was 41% larger than the same candy bar sold in Paris.
- A soft drink was 52% larger, and a hot dog was 63% larger.
- A carton of yogurt was 82% larger.

Yeah this. It's pretty striking just how much bigger all junk food/soft drinks/fast food is in murica. Restaurant portions too - gluttony ftl

Yeah it's a real mystery why North Americans are fat. Good talk guys.

MLY,

Been thinking this might be the month you get one under your belt. Went to UMASS/BC at Gillette last weekend, ate burgers, drank copious amounts of Harpoon. House parties, Patriots 8:30 Sunday game, cheese dips, more harpoons. I even think I had a slice of pizza. Just an awful, awful first couple weeks of Septembro.

Hopped on a scale about a week ago and it was 216.5, up from 214.5 at last weigh in. This was before all the stuff above I did last weekend too. Was legit concerned I would be looking at 218+ and square in the face of having to loose 4-5 pounds just to get back to 214.5 this month.

I steeled myself this morning, stepped on the scale, and awaited my fate. I could just feel it was not going to be pretty...

Spoiler:
212 lolololololololololol

SHOCKING!

I'm assuming that this doesn't mean I could buy out for five dollars, lol. Even if I could, I wouldn't even consider it!

Plus, 27's posting that he weighs (WE-WE) means nothing without boots on the ground. (or scale!) MLYLT will bring this home...

Thanks for your unwavering support Tyler! This thread could use a lot more ppl like you.
09-14-2016 , 12:59 PM
MLYLT,

Keep in mind Tyler was also an unwavering Babs supporter, and look how well that turned out for Babs!

MLY,

If only you could give them one valid reason to do that in the last 2.5 months...
09-14-2016 , 01:06 PM
Mullen,

He can still turn it around.
