So I messaged this super hot 6'2 girl blonde that's really into sports. Wondering if I should have changed my height to 6'3 before I did it. (I'm 6'3 I think, but put 6'2)
Probably doesn't matter as I have a snowball's chance, but maybe the demand for 6'2 girls is less than I think?

I wish you would have done something that might have prevented my face from smashing into the palm of my hand, breaking my nose, blood gushing everywhere, forever preventing me from getting laid because I now have a broken nose plus I lied about not being 1 inch taller than a hot girl.

Girl with no profile picture and body type "rather not say" messaging back and forth.

Does this ever end well?

If you want to end up with a fat girl, then sure.

It'd be amazing if he stood up the bombshell girl waiting at the restaurant and went on to marry the 40 year old.

That'll teach her to bait and switch.

So I just got into "online dating" and signed up for okcupid. Messaged quite a few girls, went on four dates in my first week and a half on there. They were alright but not really feeling any of them despite going on a second date with 2 out of the 4. Is the quality of girl better on a pay site like match.com? I have checked out the users in my area on there and they seem more attractive but not sure how my success rate would be there and am kinda a nit in spending like $30 a month or whatever it is.

A few years ago I did meet a chick who didn't have a pic but there were a couple of things that made me more likely to - she went to the same univ, was quick to make plans to meet (no phone or messaging back & forth to waste time) and she was pretty confident that I wouldn't have issues with her appearance. Sure enough she was an irl 8 and pretty smart as well. Only went out 4-5 times and it didn't really go anywhere but it was still worth meeting up.

But this was like 1-2 years before cameraphones/smartphones hit critical mass. I have to think that these days with pics so easy to get that you're facing long odds on this one.
If you drop hints that you're not into fatties and that you're a busy person and don't like idle chit chat and they're stalling on meeting then they're either not up to par or they're Teo'ng you. If they're pretty quick on looking to meet then maybe it's worth a shot.

Works fine for me.

Got a # just now, it's standard to set something up for the weekend and not V-day at this point, right? It doesn't make a huge difference to me one way or the other.

So I created a new OKC profile taking into account a lot of what you guys said. Took a mediocre shot of myself with my phone and rewrote everything. Less then a week later I am "one of the most attractive people on OKC" and am supposed to be getting paired up with more attractive people.

Awesome right? Too bad I went on my best first date of my life last night and don't see this ending short of some kind of relationship that has me deleting this profile. Funny how life works but thank you all for the tips because it has paid off.

Regarding sites like match and eharmony, I had a couple of friends who should be considered excellent catches (females) sign up for these sites and met a bunch of guys, but found that they were all lacking social skills and had funny stories to tell. They subsequently went to the free sites like OKC and POF, now they are both on OKC and stopped using POF despite them both saying that the male user base on OKC was much less attractive. They did this because they hated getting horrible spam messages on POF, and were sick of terrible dates from POF, but could get a much better feel on someone's personality on OKC than POF.

I started online dating because I found out all my female friends were doing it and they were cool and hot and all, so I got over my predisposition toward it quite quickly. I love it now, because I've approached women in bars and such and it takes a lot of effort only to find out (100% of the time for me) that I'm not compatabile with them as I look for very specific things. Online I can read someone's interests and find out immediately if things won't work.

I'm on the early stages of working 2 seemingly awesome girls at this point, unfortunately the 6'2 girl didn't respond (she didn't read my profile yet, so maybe hope still?), so 6'0 and 5'7 it is.

Also, ya V-day would be terrible for anything before a 4th date I think.
