I actually grew up in the Willamette Valley. I remember there were quite a few Skippers, but I honestly can't remember ever seeing a Long John Silver's.

I think LJS fish and chicken are actually quite good. The last time I was there was a year ago, and the time before that I can't even remember. Not sure how they stay in business.

I thought sonic was an elaborate scam for a long time. Tons of commercials but never saw one.

There's one on Flamingo, about a block west of the Rio in Vegas.

There aren't as many around here as there used to be, but LJS is pretty good but I would prefer Captain D's.

Also used to be totally mystified that Sonic spent ad money in the Bay Area when AFAIK they are still nowhere near the center of it.

We had Sonic ads in the Northwest for many years before one opened up. When one finally did open, I made the 30+ mile drive to go to it.

We had the same for Sonic. It was open a couple months.

Nearest Popeyes stopped their Tuesday special. No reason to go to this one now, as they are so slow all the time.

It was actually 45 minutes south of Seattle or 1 hour 30 north when they first opened in Puyallup and almost Canada. God damn that was a wasted ****ing trip.

There hasn't been a reason to go to popeye's since they discontinued the honey mustard.

Whenever I'm down sayowth I hit up the sonic. Have yet to meet an anything-but-super-friendly sonic employee.

Just got a grilled stufft nacho box. My Taco Bell satisfaction rate (meaning I'm glad that I went out of my way to eat there when I'm done) is probably in the 20% range.

I don't understand the burrito supreme. Lettuce should not be on a hot bean burrito.

I get lettuce on burritos where it's an option like Chipotle.

also there are like fifty of the mod type pizza places in downtown portland now. I've only tried pieology and it was solid even though I couldn't figure out where the line started so I walked around confused for a while and then ended up behind a bunch of children which is the absolute worst possible situation at these kind of places. will try mod this week sometime

Yeah, and it just makes me more frustrated because I really liked the one back home. There was one in Petaluma some 25 years ago but I don't know if even that one is still around.

An LJS employee od'd on heroin here while on a shift a few weeks ago (maybe longer).

My first thought was, 'mmm, LJS sounds good.'

My first job at 16 was at taco bell and I was the drive through person. We got slammed like Ive never seen before for a 6 month employee. Orders was taking ****ing ages. Was told to offer free large drink with every order. lady comes up to the window. I look and ****, all she ordered was a large beverage. WTF. She waited so long for a drink.

looking back, I have no idea if her order was placed befor ethe slam and she was just a casualty or after. I would like to think that if she ordered the drink during the slam I would have notified her of the wait but being 16 and stupid, idk.

In her defense as well as others. i mean your ****ed already, you want to leave but that just means more wasted time to get something else somewhere else. That is after the point you already waited the allowed time before u think that you should just take off. Most likely, staying is the best bet imo and doing so, eventually u get boned
