My wife just stopped at the local Krystal to pick up something to eat to tide us over until dinner. One employee inside telling people at the drive-thru that they don't have enough staff to run the place.

She's on to Taco Bell with hopes for a better result.

Just got an email from Outback. They announced a giant nerfing to their rewards program. You use to get $20 every three visits (including the visit you use the $20 reward). Now it's a $5 reward for every $70 spent. A huge axe to the program.

I'm sad.

Mark what was your average spend per visit? If it was $25 per-person for 4 people it actually works out to about the same:
$25x4 = $100 spend per visit
3 visits = $300 spent, less $20 reward = $280 total spent by you
You get $20 reward for $280

New program gives you $20 for $280.

Now, if they were giving every family member a reward, or if you were eating there by yourself or with just party of 2, then yeah, this is something you're going to look back on with longing ala the 99c double cheeseburger days.
