I have never ordered $54 worth of Taco Bell and I am consumed with regret.

I did order a single bacon cheese and a little fries at 5 Guys once tho.

When times were dark and I was broke AF, I would order 20 beef combo burritos and 20 cheesy bean and rice burritos for $40+ tax and that was my food budget for the week. On those "broke til payday weeks", eats were good, i would have a fishbowl full of TB sauces and make them "smothered" with some processed cheese to switch them up. A George Foreman grill was awesome for making mini grilled stuffed burritos.

Taco Bell held me down when I had nothing and for that, I'll always pay homage. No matter how bad they suck now.

I regularly put down $15-$20 at the Bell when I go lol. And I’m in a relatively low cost of living area, but I choose variety, and it mainly comes from the regular menu.

Still annoyed they got rid of the nachos supreme, because the bell grande is just too much when I get 4-5 other items.

A nice $3 work lunch was the triple combo nachos, Fritos Burrito and a cheesy bean & rice burrito.

I never thought I would turn into my grandad with the "back in my day x was $$", but here we are. Sad times.

This. For years every Taco Bell order for me would have either a nacho supreme or a Mexican pizza in it and now none of them can. Taco Bell doesn’t want my business so they won’t get it.

Did the $5 box this weekend after a few months of no bell. Very solid value on that thing. Fiesta potatoes probably best eaten fresh and not driven home though. The plastic container steamed up and destroyed what clearly rice minutes prior we're probably pretty crispy potatoes.

Wow, if my taco bell order is over 8 bucks, I wonder how I got so much. 54 bucks can feed a family of 12, right?

Granted, I don't think I've ordered a normal combo meal from any ff place in a very long long time. I'm always using an app for discount, get one or two items off value menu, and get out for $6 or less and full.

Every time I hear people order things willy-nilly a la carte off the menu, I cringe inside.

Today I went to Popeye's and bought a spicy breast (huge as always) and biscuit for $2.50, pretty damn good value these days when most basic ff meals are creeping up past $6 toward 7 and me not even wanting that poison soda stuff either.

Yes. Just today I'm picking up my $1 Wendy's singles and the family ahead of me ordered straight off the menu. I am always tempted to inform them but I figure it would piss off the manager and also piss off the people ordering because it reveals that they're getting ripped off.
