Ended up going to Taco Bell instead since someone posted 50% off if you use their app. Using the app is definitely the way to go from now on, everything freshly made and they got everything correct which is impressive because i added extra toppings on a few things and got a few things without certain toppings. Also i was in and out within like 2 minutes tops with people in front of me. Ill keep the Firehouse coupons on the back burner for when im feeling like eating some cheap slop or hungover.

Yup, we had one in our small Arizona town in the 70's too. One of only 2 ff joints, the other being Weinerschnitzel.

As far as value items go Del Taco's chicken soft tacos for 99 cents are good. On Wednesdays or Thursdays I think there's a deal you can get 3 for 2.29 or something too. Super solid.

What they currently have known as the big hamburger was 59 cents. And it really was and still is a big tasty ****ing hamburger.

+1 more - in LV it was Thursdays and it was 3 for $2 which was an outstanding deal. They're really delicious with the hot sauce they have.

On Tuesdays they had 3 beef crunchy tacos for $1 which is even better value wise, as the beef tacos are very good too (but not as good as chicken).

I miss Del Taco Never went to Taco Bell except for breakfast when I lived in LV. Del Taco had them dominated at dinner time.

Used to go to a mexican fast food place where the waitresses wore t-shirts that said "Fast and Delicious".
Always put a smile on my face.

Del taco sucks

Chick-fil-A sandwich number one!

in NYC we've never had JITB, but I recall in the mid to late 80s there was a huge national scandal when one location gave like an entire store of customers food poisoning.

No, I mean a Big and Cheesy. It was a four-patty cheeseburger that appears to have only been test-marketed regionally in the late '90s and failed to make it to the national menu.

At CFA lunch today, couldn't decide between original or spicy chicken sandwich. Hmmm, why not both?

Was excellent, would do again when hungry, might be a bit thick if not. Could try adding cheese and more pickles in between as well.

I feel like a fish for paying $3.19 for the egg McMuffin, but a Mc1035 whenever I want it is just so good.

I walked by the NYC chick fil a thinking "I'll finally get to try this sandwich!" And the line was around the block...there were posts saying "you're 15 minutes from chicken!" The line kept going, past the 60 minute sign. I love chicken as much as the next guy, but unless I get free money too I'm not waiting 60+ minutes to get a sandwich

It was in Cali and the backlash was huge. I still don't know how the company survived it.

We had something similar in 91 or 92. Kirby Puckett burger that was a 3 stack burger with 3 different types of cheese

Yeah, the JITB poisoning incident turned me off from them for numerous years. Had a friend that suffered through it, and what he went through was not worth the 'value' he got.

This American Life actually covered this in a recent episode and interviewed the guy who headed up the marketing campaign after the big E. coli scare: http://www.thisamericanlife.org/radi...-it?act=3#play

That is insane. Who is this person who sees the sign saying it's over 60 mins to get your chicken sandwich and decides, yeah, lemme go ahead and jump in line here. Well, I guess jump ON line in this case.

He spent several days in the hospital, and that supersedes whatever he paid for the burger. Several people died from that monumental ****-up.

Yeah, they used to have jack in the box in Massachusetts back in the early 80s before all that noise. After that I think they all vanished east of the Mississippi.
