lbr I am CERTAIN you will love Letterkenny.

And the more you know about mindless pop culture and trivia stuff, the better it is. A shitton of references, often rapid fire.

I tried watching LK way back when it 1st aired. I got the hockey slang but it was too fast with Canadian and pop culture stuff. Didn't make it more than a few episodes.

I've watched 3 random episodes from diff seasons, and it is ok at best. I'll sneak a few more in at some point but it isn't love at first sight

Yeah, Social Network guy needed to dial back the references about 80% that episode. Anyway, this show is great.

Anyone watched 30 Coins on HBOMax?

We are snowed in for the week. Finishing Warrior which I love and starting The Head next.

Warrior isn’t a slow burn, but there are a lot of characters to take in on the first few episodes.

Just want to say that this was an awesome rec. Gomorrah is fantastic. I'm bummed that S4 isn't available on HBOMax though. Any way to watch it in USA#1?

There’s only 1 way. Make sure you get L’immortale and watch it after season four as well.

Season 4 is coming to HBOMax as they bought the rights, but unfortunately it's probably not for a few more months. I've found Gomorra specifically difficult to find on the open seas because I need english subtitles.

I can’t imagine waiting that long after s3 ending. I’m not ready to crown a winner till s5 airs but if they stick the landing really could be goat contender.

If you’re into documentaries I highly recommend Tickled on Hulu. It’s a really bizarre story about this journalist who discovers these videos online of dudes that are tied down and tickled. Once he starts looking into it, he begins getting legal threats and it just keeps on getting more weird from there.

Was never that popular in USA. S1-2 were on Netflix years ago but got removed.

Thanks for reminding me, been meaning to watch this for ages and had completely forgotten about it!

I know the story already as one of my favourite episodes of one of my favourite podcasts did a show on it.

I'm genuinely jealous that you get to start Kingdom for the first time. I've rewatched it twice. Reminds me... I watched The Wheelman specifically because Frank Grillo (Alvey from Kingdom) is the lead. The Wheelman was tense and had me engaged, but ultimately pretty shallow and totally unmemorable.

Similarly, I watched a couple movies on Amazon Prime due to Jonathan Tucker's (Jay from Kingdom) involvement. Skin is a twenty minute short on Amazon that was pretty disturbing and it'll stick with me.

100 Girls - also w/ Tucker and also on Prime - was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. I knew it'd be bad based on the title and trailer, but I had to see it. It's like American Pie or one of those other adolescent sex-based comedy movies, but way way worse. Just... wow.

I'm finally getting to work on Bojack Horseman and liking it a lot. I've been reading some David Foster Wallace lately and the fundamentals of some of his work seem in line with Bojack - basically meta humor (postmodernism?) mixed with sincerity. It works well, but sometimes I'd prefer less meta - both in DFW's stuff and Bojack.

Rewatched Ocean's Eleven - great movie.

Also got through like 8 eps of Letterkenny. I really liked a lot of it but wasn't well and truly hooked. I'll try it again soon.

Many years late to this one, but just watched the 1st Season of Fargo. (Hulu)

It was difficult to imagine how they would stretch the movie out into a multiple season show, but so far it's really great dontcha know. You betcha!

bojack horseman is a legit masterpiece.

takes a few episodes to hit its stride so don't give up if the 1st episode doesn't hook u once it finds itself it legit becomes one of the greatest shows of all time.

only show ive ever binged and then started watching over again as soon as I finished.

it also just gets better and better on repeat viewings.

Oh jeez. Lucky you. Love the Fargos. I've finally started watching the latest season. It's not on par with the previous seasons, but still watchable thus far. Several characters I really like, the nurse and the detective. Ya you betcha.
