Same. I would have no chance of following that plot

I’ve watched a few shows about these master manipulators/con artists.

I came across this guy years ago who now is married and has a kid. He completely used everyone and anyone he game into contact with as long as I knew him, including me, and left the most incredible trail of destruction. The best I could describe him is like that guy off of Nightcrawler - capable of anything, a truly soul-less sociopath. He screwed over every single mutual friend we had in one way or another, and I then found out it was the same with all his “best friends” from childhood who had cut him out of their lives.

I found out years later by googling his name that he was going around Southeast Asia using various scams, including one he used regularly - he would sleep with girls then rob them Of everything, including passports, and then continue to blackmail them with naked pics/videos he took of them. He even did this to previous long-term ex girlfriends, and one spent time in a psych hospital after dating him.

He blocked me from Instagram long ago but I’m able to find him through other accounts and he’s actually married and has a kid. He has never worked a day in his life so I know he is either scamming someone or scamming her for his money because he looks like he is doing well. Fwiw I doubt it’s her, because I know people who have tried reaching out to warn her to no avail.

I’ve thought about different ways to try to out him permanently as a warning; it seems that these types get worse over time, and I know he is capable of anything if the price is right. I even thought about doing a podcast series of stories from our mutual friends and his exes, but I dont know if it would get much of a following and I don’t have any experience in anything like that.

Anyways I will end this rant ha, it’s not even the place for it I’ve just wanted to tell this story somewhere on these forums and with all these documentaries about con artists coming out it reminds me of him.
In what context did you come into contact with him?

Does he have a PG&C?

I loved paradise pd on Netflix. It’s raunchy and kinda terrible but if you like jokes there’s one every 30 seconds. Every episode is like a writers room came up with 100 jokes and they cut not a single one of them out.

Yeah. I wonder if that's something you can re-create though. Maybe it's something to do with the time period we were in then and being a kid watching that. idk. Not the same without Robert Stack.

+1. Usually plays don’t come across well on TV but this one did.

yeah, most of the shows from my youth that ive tried to rewatch Im aghast at just how horrible they are. I'm a different person, and it's a different time, it only makes sense most of the stuff from back then I would think sucks now. And remakes don't help because they aren't doing it because they found a creative need for the story/show, it's just a "it worked before, it could work again" money grab, so it's formulaic bullshit.

Man, couldn't last more than 10-12 minutes of Hamilton on Disney - the rapping dialogue were very annoying after about 5 minutes. I would just rather read Hamilton's biography, which sounds very interesting.

got through half of Hamilton....it's impressive, but incredibly exhausting. Like the poster above noted, the monotone rapping is a bit annoying (to an old white guy), and really hard to understand. The music is just so...the same. It's a monotonous drone for most of the play.

I will watch the rest, but I gotta say....I really don't like it very much.

I just finished a second watch through last night since my wife didn't watch it the first time. Absolutely fantastic show and I can't wait until the 2nd season.

Finished season 2 of Prime's Hannah last night. I realize it isn't a blockbuster slam dunk homerun of a show, but I really have enjoyed the series. Season 2 had a few patchy parts in the middle but it ended very strong imo.

I don't like the style(or cadence or whatever term I never really learned) of rap in Hamilton. The story may be good, but I don't dig. The fatwa song on Curb was catchy though.
