I don't think it even deserves consideration in greatest show of all time when you have stuff like the sopranos, the wire, and true detective out there. I suppose it would be a strong contender for best basic cable show of all time, but even there it faces tough competition from things like the killing, Fargo, Hannibal, or lots of BBC stuff.
Without going too much into a derail, you can't compare shows that aren't finished yet to a show that is. BB is beginning to end a great show, and there aren't many shows that can say that. Sopranos and wire are among them. TD is immediately disqualified because of s2. Fargo has potential but let's see it go 6 seasons first.

BB is also one of the rare shows that gets better as it goes. Most shows peak at season 2/3 and go downhill. BB s4/5 is arguably it's best seasons

Does it live up to the hype?
I found the first season to be a little slow of pace....maybe. Or maybe I was just comparing to to BB.

still better than 99% of TV.

anxiously awaiting season two.

BB does stand out as not ever having a bad episode or story arc. Even GOT has its slow moments. BB is intense from beginning to end (other than like maybe the first 2 episodes but that was totally on purpose to set up for the intensity that was coming).

s2 of TD is really bad television. well, i should say the first three eps of season two, anyway. no way i was forcing myself to watch anymore than those three.

s1 is phenomenal.

BB is, IMO, the GOAT.

Marie's kleptomania?

Spoiler:
Also the finale, while not bad exactly, was the least interesting possible ending to that story. I still feel like the show sold out to the 'Walt is a cool guy badass' crowd, and Jesse and Marie were punished for Walt's sins more than he was.

Disagree about the first few episodes, that first mini story where they have to dissolve the body and Krazy 8 is chained up in the basement is GOAT television from the outset.

I don't think there was a bad BB story arc per se, I do however think BB may be the only show in history where the season ranking goes backwards (S5 > S4 > S3 > S2 > S1).

Despite the name that makes it sound ridiculous or cheesy, Ancient Black Ops was actually pretty good. The Hawaiian Koa warriors, Assassins, and Sicarii episodes in particular.

Spanish Lake is a pretty good documentary about a St. Louis suburb where the blacks from the St. Louis projects were moved with gov't help and most of the whites left. It's similar to HBO's Show Me a Hero but without the editorializing. It just showed the residents talking. It would be kinda dry if you're not interested in stuff like this.

Sounds interesting. Demographic history of LA neighborhoods is pretty interesting. A lot of places have had two or even three shifts in my lifetime.

As someone who has been a Chelsea Handler fan for years i have to say im pretty disappointed with her new mini series. Only watched the first 2 episodes but they are both pretty bad and a little boring. Was hoping her moving to netflix would give her free rain to really push the envelope but to me it seems way watered downed and tame compared to her show on E!.

I tried the first and it wasn't happening and then watched the one on drugs. It was ok, but not great. I'm probably not going to watch any of the others.

I had never heard of her before.

I watched that one too. Interesting to me because I experienced a similar situation as a kid when our neighborhood turned hard and fast. We moved when I was 11 and the worst part was losing contact with all of my first childhood friends.

Got hooked on Nurse Jackie. Gave it a shot because I remembered it getting some critical acclaim. Glad I did, do recommend.
