I'm fascinated by all the negativity regarding the Aziz Ansari special. Not too familiar with his work but now I have to see this.

This. I have zero problem with the subject matter or his perspective or w/e. The bits are just not the least bit funny. Well, at least nothing up until I turned it off.

I find it strange that I now need to concentrate on watching a single show from beginning to end before moving on to the next, when people were pretty much forced to do the opposite prior to Netflix and VOD.

I thought the Aziz special was great, but I fall squarely into his target audience, which has gotten much more specific imo and could be the reason for all the hate.

Mad men crushing. Don't want to say anything but even Peggy's tits look unreal.

That's before Brie, Megan and new ones come in. Been binging with wine since it came on.

I've been waiting for this for two months so don't mind me. I was working constantly when this aired live and have just waited. Completely worth the period drawback.

Amazing lack of self awareness to get so haughty while at the same time listing Million Dollar Baby right next to the ****ing Godfather as your examples of "perfect movies"

Bravo

You have a real tendency to blow people's responses out of proportion in a negative way.

I switched to letter grades because I started to feel like some people treat 7/10 like a C, ie average, as opposed to 5/10 being average.

K2 :Siren of the Himalayas is pretty stunning. Mentions the events that happen in "The Summit" . Both are good.

Thanks to 2+2er Jonny Fondue and his 2 minute review YouTube channel, H&F uses a scale of 1-37 with 19 being average and anything over 30 being exceptional.

Everyone will be using that scale someday. It is far superior.

Another 2 Minute Review fan right here. I'm using the 1-37 scale constantly in everyday life.

to me, and millions of people, million dollar baby is an all-time great. it won oscars, is rated 4 stars on all the movie channels.

of course it's fair to rate MDB as one of the 100 movies every person must watch.

it's a ****ing brilliant movie.

i'd list 12 angry men right along side those. hell, that is probably even better due to the social commentary.

but... ya... we all tend to lump 4 star movies all together.
