Netflix recommend "Boss" and I searched this thread to see if it had been reviewed and it was mentioned briefly. I feel like it deserves another mention.
Its similar to House of Cards but a little faster paced and sexier. I ended up watching 9 hour long episodes the first night.
Love me some Van Damme. Kickboxer is another good one - his brother that was paralyzed by Tong Po was played by Dennis Alexio who was actually once a world champion kickboxer til he lost to Don the Dragon Wilson. I watched Lionheart the other night for the 735,000 time.
One of my favorites is JCVD....its a semi-serious comedy where Van Damme plays himself as a down and out actor during a robbery and helps the hostages by talking to the robbers about himself and describes who he actually is. It's pretty funny. Not bad at all and he wasn't flexing or doing a split every 7 seconds so I found that refreshing. Definitely recommend if you can find it.
Halfway through The Blacklist, one of the better shows I have watched in awhile. Really glad that Netflix got the rights or bought this up after season 1.

I agree that The Killing is up there, although I thought it became predictably unpredictable, if that makes sense.
Spoiler:
Once you understand the show is based largely on red herrings, it takes some of the "punch" away from it.
I thought the show Rectify was also very good. Was recommended on here, and I loved it. I have never seen such character depth in any show. It is very slow, and more of a character-study, but if that's your thing, this is a homerun. May not have the chemistry between characters that The Killing did, but the characters are much more developed.
I really thought they did a lot in the first two seasons to develop the depth of the relationship between the two main characters in the killing. Great character development is always a plus for me. Will definitely start Rectify. Thanks for the recommendation.
THE BLACKLIST - good show, never heard of it before it popped up on Netflix. (I'm cable-less.) Other than needing to suspend a bit of disbelief that a top ten criminal gets to tell the FBI what to do, very entertaining.
super entertaining. next season starts in november, better catch up quick lol
20-years-ago Alicia Silverstone plus Brittany Murphy. nuff said.
Basically 20 years ago I was at a summer 'camp' where me and my few friends were the oldest allowed. One of the counselors made a bracket and forced Alicia Silverstone to win the hottest girl/woman alive. That was right before her Batman movie appearance.
I'm a bit more than half-way through the first episode of The Blacklist and don't think I can go on. Spader is cool and all but every single thing about this show is derivative as ****. Feels really old hat to me.

Absolutely same here. Couldn't make it more than half through the first ep.
