Watched Brake with Stephen Dorff. Reminded me of Buried. I think the ending was a little too FPS. But a decent watch.

I liked this too....ending was a nice twist...not a bad flick at all.

I just stumbled on this thread and this was the first recommendation I saw. Just watched it and highly recommend it as well.

Happy Valley was very good. 6 episodes and marathoned it in 2 sessions. I suppose it's comparable to The Fall in quality.

High five! I love that film so much. You should Google the production of that film. Maxed out credit cards, money borrowed from friends and a kickstarter campaign. Jeremy Saulnier put everything into Blue Ruin.

I decide to turn it on because it was at the top of my thing as new release and i watched the first episode and immediately disliked almost everything about the show. I was actually going to post how bad this show is. but i had have a few beers and decided to watch some more. Im glad i did. This show is all kinds of clever. Its not a comedy its a increasingly dark show with some really funny moments. bizarre and wonderful.

I thought this was a joke until I watched the first episode lol. It's like a parody of Bob Sagat and Charlie Sheen melded together thrown into an alternate universe as a horse.

If it wasn't for this post, I cant think of anything else that would've compelled me to randomly start watching an animated series of a talking horse... 2 episodes in and loving it.

Also currently binge watching The Shield. First two seasons started it off a bit slow, not necessarily bad, just felt like a standard procedural drama. Things really pick up after wards and season 5 is now easily my favorite single tv season of any show.

The Shield is really close to being GOAT, to me at least. Very close if not for that damn Heisenberg. Have you finished season 5?

On another note - watched Blue Ruin after reading good things about it ITT. Excellent revenge thriller...had some pretty tense moments - definitely worth a watch.

The Shield is definitely on the GOAT list. One of my all time favorites.

Based on this thread I just started Bojack Horseman and 2 episodes in, loving it.

HV is excellent. Although The Fall is good, I felt this is on another level.

Yeah, finished up season 5, currently a couple episodes into season 6. As a whole, Breaking Bad is still GOAT for me (at least for the time being..). But Season 5 of The Shield > any single Breaking Bad season IMO. The ending of just about every episode in season 5 had me doing this

Either a huge plot twist, blind side, or just something else to end each episode with a huge bang. And the season finale... so much feels. If The Shield keeps this pace through season 6/7, Heisenberg might have to thread lightly..

Seems like GOAT talk is usually Breaking Bad, Sopranos, LOST, The Wire, but no Shield (admittedly haven't watched the latter two). Glad to see The Shield getting some love in here.

Watched Blue Ruin because of this thread. Good revenge film, but the Coen Bros comparison was way off. Not an ounce of humor or quirkiness to the film. Out of the Furnace is a better comp.
