Edelman was incredible and is a natural at this, Drew was pretty funny, and even Gronk had his moments.

Hopefully Netflix does more of these, which I think they will. I always loved the Comedy Central roasts.
Edelman has a podcast and is pretty funny. He also does an amazing Belicek imitation.

I can’t stand how unoriginal Hollywood has become, but it seems like they’re taking the right angle here. Encouraging that Greg Daniels is involved. I like Domnhall Gleeson but seems like an odd cast - I guess he could work as the new Jim.

Now that I think about it, I nearly always agree with rbk's opinions about movies and TV. For that reason, I guess that I need to watch Bojack Horseman.
oh man pls let me know what you think of it!
give it a few episodes to find itself.

it's the only show I've ever finished watching then immediately started watching again from the beginning.

I'm halfway through it now. I almost turned it off after only Kevin Hart and Jeff Ross. Both have been cringe-worthy imo. I'm glad I stuck with it as everyone else so far has been great.

The format of the roasts was better when they had an MC who played it fairly straight and just kept things moving along. Kevin Hart's entire role is useless. I suppose they were looking for someone comparable.

I'm about halfway through, too and I agree with most of the above.

The apologies after the minor barb at Kraft for the massage parlor issue seemed weak on the surface, but it felt like Ross ad-libbed the jab there.

I'm guessing the players didn't want the Kraft issue to be in there. Most of them really respect the owner. I'm a long time Pats fan and despite how Belichick's tenure ended, on balance, Kraft has been a great owner. Most franchises soak the taxpayers for new venues but Gillette was built with 96% (IIRC) private money with the only cost to the taxpayers being the widening of US 1 and access road construction, which TBH, the area needed anyway.

Yeah, this does seem like it will be hilarious and with a ton of heart. Sort of like a Bill Lawrence joint.

If you assume they sold tickets to the audience, it doesn't look expensive at all?

The best show none of you have watched, Interview with the Vampire, is back for season 2. First season was phenomenal.

Only downside is that it’s on AMC+, but Max featured it sometime last year and I imagine they’ll do it again.

Interesting modern adaptation, but I've forgotten how Season 1 ended.

The actual best show no one is watching, is Pantheon.

Only available in Australia, for some reason AMC has it buried. Available by slightly nefarious means, but give it a try if you have the opportunity.

I really liked his Netflix standup and SNL episode this season. Habitual line stepper, but he’s good at it. Looking forward to the show

Has Ricky Stanicky been talked about here?

I had never heard of it until yesterday and it’s pretty damn funny

Spoiler:
This line cracked me up but was said so fast I wonder how many people heard it:

He has curly eyes, Long blond lips,. He talks with a limp…

So... Man In Full... That was a.... A show...

I had to struggle to get through it but I'd heard that the ending was bat ****, but in the worst possible way. For the show itself, it was a "satire" that forgot to be satirical, which made the ending ridiculously stupid instead of stupidly ridiculous. It is not worth watching at all, but it's worth knowing how it ended, so I'll put it in spoilers.

Spoiler:
Jeff Daniels is able to live another day and the main enemy, still holding a grudge, works with his ex-wife to take Jeff's prize possession from him. Jeff bursts into her house and walks in on the enemy and his ex-wife banging. She's sent off while they "have a discussion" and since the enemy took two performance enhancing pills, he becomes his own "Man In Full" while they argue. Jeff grabs him by the throat, and since earlier in the show, his hand locked up, it does here as well. As he is choking the enemy inadvertently to death, he himself, has a heart attack and also dies.

And that's it... There was a decent sub-plot that ended well, but it didn't really belong in this show. It was probably the only reason I stuck around instead of skipped around.

Has anyone else seen the three-episode "Secrets Of the Octopus," a National Geo production on Disney+?

It is absolutely magical. These creatures are so alien and yet so intelligent and interesting...very cool show.

Awesome will check it out. I'm not a conspiracy nut, but do like the idea that aliens are regularly visiting Earth - they just ignore us because we're stupid, and hangout with the octopuses and mushrooms instead.
